Kayo Sports has today announced select matches of the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup will offer commentary in Hindi and Afrikaans languages LIVE and on-demand on Kayo, bringing together a world-class team of international broadcasters.

Cricket icons and former players for India Gautam Gambhir, Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh and Aakash Chopra will lead Kayo’s Hindi commentary team, alongside fan-favourite Indian cricket commentator Jatin Sapru and former assistant coach to the Indian cricket team Sanjay Bangar.

The Afrikaans commentary team will be led by South African cricketing household name Jeremy Fredericks, sports presenter Johnny Davids and former South African cricketers Gerhardus Liebenberg, Henry Davids, Fanie De Villiers, Johan Van De Wath, Shafiek Abrahams and Morne Van Wyk.

Kayo Marketing Director Kim McConnie said: “Kayo is about providing the best experience possible to our 1.3 million customers.

“We know the World Cup has a large multicultural audience, so we are thrilled to provide more options for fans to enjoy this great sporting event, that begins in just over two weeks, with the addition of Hindi and Afrikaans commentary.”

Kayo will offer Hindi commentary for 10 key fixtures and Afrikaans commentary for eight key fixtures during the World Cup, with both options available for semi-finals and finals spectaculars.

Fox Cricket General Manager Matthew Weiss said: “Fox Cricket delivers world class coverage every summer, and we are proud to further strengthen our offering for this year’s ICC T20 World Cup with commentary in additional languages.

“The broadcast teams that we have brought together to deliver the Hindi and Afrikaans commentary through our international partners Star (India) and SuperSport (South Africa) are second to none, and we look forward to hearing their unique analysis in their own languages.”

Kayo subscribers can access the Hindi and Afrikaans language feeds via their dedicated tiles in the Match Centres in-app for selected games during the ICC T20 World Cup.

Fixtures that will feature the new linguistic commentary offerings include –
