Kayo SPORTS and SailGP extend multi year broadcast agreement – Kayo SPORTS and SailGP have revealed a new multi-year broadcast agreement, extending a partnership that has delivered every moment of the world’s premier sailing competition to Australian sports fans since its first season in 2019.

Under the renewed deal, fans can continue to watch every adrenaline-fuelled race across every iconic global location of the Rolex SailGP Championship LIVE and on demand on Kayo SPORTS and Foxtel.

The 2026 Season will open with two home-shore events this summer: the inaugural Oracle Perth Sail Grand Prix from 17 to 18 January, and the KPMG Sydney Sail Grand Prix from 28 February to 1 March. Led by legendary Australian sailor and Olympic Gold medallist Tom Slingsby, and with Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds joining the team as co-owners, Australia’s Bonds Flying Roos are set to compete against the world in a season that promises more drama, adding to a blockbuster summer lineup on Kayo SPORTS.

Foxtel Group Head of Content Acquisitions Marissa Banu-Lawrence said:

“Our partnership with SailGP has gone from strength to strength over the past six years, driven by a shared vision to bring Australian audiences closer to the action of the sports they love.

“Together, we’ve grown SailGP’s presence in Australia, connecting audiences closely to the speed, skill, and spectacle of the Championship through our coverage on Kayo SPORTS. With the inaugural Perth Sail Grand Prix set to launch the 2026 Championship season, our renewed partnership will continue to build on that momentum as we look to connect even more fans to all the action of the world’s fastest race on water.”

SailGP CEO and co-founder Sir Russell Coutts said:

“Kayo Sports has been an incredible partner, working alongside us from the beginning. They have helped showcase the speed, spectacle and emotion of SailGP to Australian audiences as we continue to build one of the most passionate fan bases in the world.

“Australia remains a flagship market for SailGP, with events in Perth and Sydney and a team that embodies the competitiveness and spirit that define our league. We’re thrilled to continue this partnership with Kayo Sports and can’t wait to see the energy that the inaugural Oracle Perth Sail Grand Prix presented by KPMG will bring to the new season.”

Founded by Sir Russell Coutts and Larry Ellison, SailGP brings together national teams racing in identical 50-foot foiling catamarans at speeds of more than 100 km/h. With its unique combination of speed, technology, and near-shore action, SailGP has redefined modern sailing and become one of the world’s fastest-growing sports.

This renewal strengthens Kayo SPORTS’ position as Australia’s home of sport and further extends an unrivalled summer lineup featuring every ball of the Australian summer of cricket and the best of U.S. sports through ESPN including the NFL, NBA, and NHL, as well as the NBL.
