ESPN8: The Ocho delivers the biggest ever edition across three days starting Friday August 1 – The Ocho is bigger and better than ever before and ESPN will bring a multi-day marathon of all the weird, wild and wacky sports in the world, including Dog Surfing, Carjitsu, Slippery Stairs, Robot Fighting, Banana Ball, Corgi Racing, Coffin Wars, USA Mullet Championships and more across three massive days beginning Friday August 1.
The 2025 edition of The Ocho will spread across three days for the first time, delivering viewers the biggest Ocho ever seen on ESPN.
ESPN8: The Ocho is so huge, it has been split into two parts, with Part One beginning Friday August 1 and Saturday August 2 and Part Two on the traditional Friday August 8, only on ESPN.
This will be the largest edition of ESPN8: The Ocho since the initiative began in the summer of 2017, inspired by the 2004 hit movie “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story” featuring Vince Vaughn, Christine Taylor and Ben Stiller.
Much loved and highly anticipated each August, the 2025 edition of ESPN8: The Ocho includes fan favorites and some of the craziest ‘sports’ The Ocho has ever seen.
ESPN8: The Ocho begins on Friday August 1, and the opening day is highlighted by USA Mullet Championships, 2025 Golden Tee Golf World Championships, 2025 World Dog Surfing Championships, 11th annual Outhouse Races, 2025 National Bubble Gum Blowing Championships and The Goodyear Blimp Sky Race.
The action continues across Saturday August 2 with Major League Paintball World Championship, OmegaBall World Invitational, The 4th Annual Bullshooter Shootout, 2025 Slippery Stairs, Banana Ball, Pillow Fight Championship, Carjitsu Championship and Diving Chess.
The Ocho then extends to a third day in its traditional August 8 occasion, delivering 24-hours straight of the weird, wacky and wonderful from the sporting world.
Part Two on August 8 showcases Goat Racing Championships, 2025 Corgi Racing, Coffin Wars: Grapple to the Grave, T-Rex World Championship Races, Extreme Archery and National Dodgeball League.

Major League Paintball World Championship: Four of the best teams in the World compete to be crowned the 3v3 World Champions.
OmegaBall World Invitational: Three Team Soccer with no offsides, on a circular pitch. Teams defend their own goal but can score on the other two and it’s 10x more goals than traditional soccer!
USA Mullet Championships: Kids, teens and adults compete for the best Mullet.
2025 Golden Tee Golf World Championships: Ninety-six of the world’s best Golden Tee players converge at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas to battle for nearly $200,000 in prizes.
2025 World Dog Surfing Championship: The World Dog Surfing Championships BEST WAVES competition awards the best waves champion dog surfers have surfed over the past year.
11th Annual Outhouse Races: Teams build their own custom outhouses—each equipped with a mandatory toilet seat for the driver and a roll within reach.
One outhouse races another in head-to-head matchups, with teams straining to push their rig across the finish line. It’s a bracketed championship, and the ultimate goal? Be crowned Fastest Throne.
Big League Chew – 2025 National Bubble Gum Blowing Championship: Finalists chew. They blow. They pray it doesn’t pop too soon. The biggest unburst bubble wins. One gum blower will be crowned the 2025 Champion. The rest go home sticky and defeated.
2025 Slippery Stairs: Call it controlled chaos as contestants are challenged with unpredictable steps, slippery slime, dodging balls and the challenge of being the first one to the top. Slippery Stairs, wild and fun, returns with new contestants, new stairs and new champions.
Pillow Fight Championship: The world’s only Professional Pillow Fighting league – returns to The Ocho featuring fighters from various disciplines competing for a cash purse and ultimate bragging rights in the Hush Presents PFC tournament.
Carjitsu Championship: Professional brawlers battle each other inside a car.
Diving Chess: Two champions. One underwater chessboard. This is more than a game. It’s a deep test of will, wits, and lungs.
Microsoft Excel Championships: An international competition that tests Excel users’ skills through real-world challenges.
2025 Corgi Racing: 40-yard dash races with cuteness and charm of Corgis
Coffin Wars: Grapple to the Grave: Two fighters compete inside a coffin trying to escape.
The Goodyear Blimp Sky Race of the Century: To mark the 100th anniversary of the Goodyear Blimp in 2025, Goodyear brought all three of its U.S. airships together for the first-ever blimp race. Goodyear’s Blimps Wingfoot One, Two and Three, their pilots and crew compete in an aerial race over Akron, Ohio, where the company’s airships program began. While blimps aren’t known for speed, this race has no shortage of action.
