UFC on ESPN – Fight fans will be primed for a blockbuster night of UFC action this Saturday LIVE on ESPN, headlined by a clash between two ranked UFC featherweight contenders Max Holloway and ‘The Korean Zombie’ Chan Sung Jung.
Saturday evening’s coverage begins with the UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs Jung Prelims beginning at 7pm AEST Live on ESPN2, before the UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs Jung Main Card follows LIVE at 10pm AEST.
Holloway is a former UFC Featherweight champion and is eyeing redemption having fallen to the current king of the division, Australia’s Alexander Volkanovski.
The Hawaiian fighter was a winner last time he stepped into the Octagon back in April, taking a convincing unanimous decision victory over Arnold Allen.
‘The Korean Zombie’ Jung is also chasing revenge against UFC Featherweight champion Volkanovski, having been defeated by the Australian in his last fight at UFC 273.
Given the fight resume of both Holloway and Jung UFC fans should expect fireworks when the pair get into the Octagon.
A win on Saturday would keep the victor in UFC Featherweight Championship calculations, as Holloway retains the #1 ranking in the division for now.
Light Heavyweight’s Anthony Smith and Ryan Spann will also look to take a step up the rankings with victory in Singapore in the UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs Jung co-feature.
#8 ranked Smith and #10 ranked Spann will collide for the second time in the Octagon, having previously faced off in 2021.
Smith prevailed with an impressive first-round submission in their first encounter, a loss Spann will hope to take back on Saturday night.
Australia’s Junior Tafa also features on the UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs Jung Main Card against American heavyweight Parker Porter.
