NFL on ESPN – Just eight teams remain in the hunt for a place in Super Bowl LVIII and ESPN brings every game from Week Two of the NFL Playoffs as the Divisional Round takes centre stage LIVE on ESPN.
Week Two NFL Playoff actions sees two huge NFL double headers LIVE on ESPN this Sunday January 21 and Monday January 22.
Sunday’s NFL Playoff games kick off at 8.30am AEDT with the #1 AFC seed Baltimore Ravens tackling the Houston Texans.
The Texans breezed into the Divisional Round thanks to a 45-14 win over the Cleveland Browns. QB CJ Stroud led the charge, throwing for 274 yards and three touchdowns.
Baltimore enjoyed the bye in Week One of the post-season, having finished top of the AFC after the regular season. They will look to carry the momentum from wins over then AFC #2 Miami (56-19) and NFC #1 seed San Francisco (33-19) in the last month of the regular season.
The Ravens and Texans previously met in Week One this season, where Baltimore prevailed 25-9.
Immediately following at 12pm AEDT is a clash between two of the NFL’s most storied franchises, the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers.
The 49ers finished the year as NFC #1 seed and are favored to secure a place at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas on February 12 AEDT.
But already the post-season has seen surprises – the biggest perhaps the manner in which the Green Bay Packers eliminated the second seed Dallas Cowboys in a 48-32-win last week.
Green Bay exploded out of the blocks with 27 first-half points and Dallas were never going to pull back such a wide margin.
Packers Rookie QB Jordan Love shone in his NFL Playoff debut, but the stakes rise once again with the trip to Santa Clara against the 49ers.
Monday sees another two live NFL Playoff games back-to-back on ESPN, beginning at 7am AEDT when the Detroit Lions face off with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
After a 32 year wait for an NFL playoff win – suddenly the Lions are targeting two post-season victories in successive weeks.
The Lions held on in a 24-23 thriller against the Los Angeles Rams in Week One of the playoffs, ending the NFL’s longest post-season losing streak.
Tampa Bay is on their own hot streak, winning five of their last six matches.
They enter the Divisional Round having eliminated one of the 2023 Super Bowl participants – Philadelphia Eagles, in convincing fashion – 32-9.
The final game of the Divisional Round kicks off at 10.30am AEDT where the Buffalo Bills battle the Kansas City Chiefs LIVE on ESPN.
Two years ago, the Bills and Chiefs met in one of the best playoff games of all-time – a 42-36 thriller that Kansas City claimed in overtime.
The Chiefs impressed in a 26-7 win over Miami, and the Bills overcame Pittsburgh 31-17 to setup the epic showdown.
Kansas City are chasing a third NFL title in five years, as they defend their Super Bowl crown – but Buffalo will hold home ground advantage at Bills Stadium.
