NFL on ESPN – The NFL is down to the final four – Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions remain as the AFC and NFC Conference Championships determine who will make it to Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.
ESPN is the place to be for two of the biggest games on the NFL calendar as the AFC and NFC Conference Championships are decided in a massive NFL Playoff Double Header LIVE on Monday January 29.
Monday’s action begins LIVE at 7am AEDT on ESPN when the Baltimore Ravens face off against the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC Conference Championship.
Baltimore finished the regular season as the #1 seed in the AFC and have been the Super Bowl favourite for most of the NFL season.
The Ravens booked their spot in the AFC Championship game after defeating the Houston Texans 34-10. The two were tied going into half-time, but a second half blitz from Baltimore was the difference.
Baltimore QB Lamar Jackson was the star once again, rushing for 100 yards – including two touchdowns.
Awaiting them in the AFC Championship are the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.
Kansas City have overcome the Miami Dolphins (26-7) and Buffalo Bills (27-24) to return to the AFC Championship game for the sixth straight year.
Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and co have tackled this stage before – but in 2024 they must do the job on the road in Baltimore, for the first time.
Following LIVE on ESPN at 10.30am AEDT, the San Francisco 49ers collide with the Detroit Lions for the NFC Conference Championship.
The 49ers finished the NFL regular season atop of the NFC Conference but were made to sweat in a thrilling 24-21 win over the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Round.
A 10-point final quarter turned the game back into San Francisco’s favour. Christian McCaffrey was again the shining light for the 49ers, rushing for 98 yard in 17 carries – including two touchdowns.
The combination of QB Brock Purdy and receiver George Kittle continues to do the job – handing a formidable task to the Detroit Lions defence.
This is the 49ers fourth NFC Conference Championship game in the last five years.
The Lions defeated Tampa Bay 31-23 to register their place in the NFC Championship – their first visit in 32 years and just their second time in franchise history.
Detroit have never been to a Super Bowl and fans are dreaming that their time has finally arrived.
QB Jared Goff will look to steer the Lions into the history books after throwing for 287 yards and two touchdowns in the Divisional Round victory against the Buccaneers.
