NFL fans set to ‘Have a Siiiiick Day’ as part of Super Bowl LX on ESPN – If your boss asks why you’re not in the office on Monday February 9th, just tell them you’re having a ‘Siiiiick Day’.

For Super Bowl LX, ESPN is encouraging viewers to not just have a ‘sick day’, but to ‘Have a Siiiiick Day!’, putting a new twist on the traditional Super Bowl Sickie campaign.

ESPN wants fans to have the ‘Siiickest’ Super Bowl ever.

With Super Bowl LX falling on a Monday in Australia and New Zealand, ESPN viewers are forced to get creative to ensure they don’t miss a moment of the NFL season ending extravaganza.

Whether you’re watching for the game action, the Super Bowl Half-Time show with Bad Bunny, the celeb-spotting or more, Super Bowl LX is guaranteed to be ‘Siiick’.

Super Bowl LX is the culmination of one of the most dramatic NFL regular seasons on record.

New England Patriots will face off against the Seattle Seahawks, with the winner crowned Super Bowl champion.

ESPN star Stephen A Smith fronts ESPN’s Super Bowl campaign for Super Bowl LX and is calling for all NFL fans to enjoy a ‘Siiick Day’.

“It’s Super Bowl Monday down under, and it’s about the get siiiick,”

– Smith exclaims, whilst donning sunglasses and performing a shaka.

“Australia – you work hard all year. Take one day off for greatness – Super Bowl Monday is going to be a siiick day.”

The tongue-in-cheek ‘Super Bowl Sickie’ campaign is encouraging fans to take the day off (with the blessing of their employer, of course) to enjoy a ‘siiiick day’ and the most watched sporting event on the planet – Super Bowl LX.

Super Bowl LX is live on ESPN at 10.30am AEDT Monday February 9 and will be available on Disney+, Foxtel, Kayo Sports, Fetch TV and Sky NZ.

It will be the first time that a Super Bowl is available to be streamed to Disney+ subscribers, with the addition of the platform ensuring Super LX is now available across the most widely distributed platform in the region.

ESPN will again provide an exclusive Super Bowl broadcast for viewers across Australia and New Zealand, led by ESPN’s Chris Fowler, Dan Orlovsky and Louis Riddick.

ESPN’s Super Bowl coverage will be comprehensive with live programming from the San Francisco Bay area throughout the leadup to Super Bowl LX.

Super Bowl LX Week programming on ESPN will include the 2026 NFL Pro Bowl Games (Wednesday February 4), NFL Blitz at the Super Bowl (Wednesday-Monday AEDT), NFL Live (daily throughout Super Bowl week),  live NFL Blitz Super Bowl Countdown show and Super Bowl LX.

ESPN NFL journalist Laurie Horesh and media personality Jimmy Smith will also deliver live episodes of ESPN’s ‘NFL Aftrs’ from Super Bowl central in San Francisco, available via ESPN’s YouTube and Social Media channels throughout Super Bowl week.

Tune into Super Bowl LX on Monday February 9 from 10.30am AEDT Live on ESPN.

***ESPN is not encouraging you to breach your employment contract by taking a siiiick day.

ESPN and ESPN2 is available via Disney+, Foxtel, Kayo Sports, Fetch TV and Sky NZ.
