ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 live and exclusive on Prime Video – Commencing from October 3, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will ignite cricket fans across the globe as the Australian women’s cricket team – led by Captain Alyssa Healy – begin their quest for an unprecedented fourth consecutive title, with every moment live and exclusive to Prime Video at no additional cost to members.
In its ninth edition, 10 teams will battle it out in 23 matches across two venues in Dubai and Sharjah for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Original hosts Bangladesh will play the curtain raiser against Scotland in Sharjah before Australia plays its first match against Sri Lanka on October 5. The Semi-Finals will get under way on October 18 in Dubai, with the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup champions crowned on October 21.
For those looking to catch up on the action, customers will have a choice of 10 or 25 minute highlights, or a full match replay from the first ball available immediately after the match has finished. There will also be a ‘rapid recap’ feature for fans joining the broadcast late to bring them up to speed with a two-minute highlights package of action so far.
For the first time, Australian sports fans will be able to view the 10 minute highlights in front of the Prime Video paywall – all Australian customers need is an Amazon account.
Defending champions Australia head into the tournament as the top ranked team ahead of long-time rivals, England and India. Set as the tournament favourites, Australia will be vying for a record breaking fourth-consecutive title, hoping to bring their tournament victory tally to a total of seven times across nine editions.
All the T20 World Cup big hits, all the big wickets and all the big moments will be live on Prime Video.
Prime Video is available in Australia at no extra cost to a Prime membership. New customers can find out more at www.primevideo.com and subscribe to a free 30-day trial.
