Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach lead of 103 000 and an average audience lead of 52 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #8 with 1 255 000 (801 000). The 1% Club UK was #5 with 1 441 000 (779 000). The Front Bar was #12 with 1 088 000 (506 000).

Nine

9News was #2 for the night. A Current Affair was #3 with 1 577 000 (1 060 000). Taronga: Who’s Who in the Zoo was #7 with 1 311 000 (602 000). 2024 Wimbledon Day 3 – Night was #13 with 1 066 000 (263 000).

The Project was #15 with 938 000 (352 000). MasterChef Australia was #9 with 1 220 000 (700 000). NCIS: Sydney was #18 with 901 000 (318 000).

ABC

ABC News was #10 for the night. 730 was #11 with 1 125 000 (652 000). Hard Quiz was #16 with 938 000 (658 000). Gruen was #14 with 1 024 000 (727 000). An encore of Austin was #22 with 735 000 (236 000).

  • 9News was the No.1 program of the night with Total People across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The combined bulletins secured a National Total TV Reach of 2.008 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.270 million – up 7.3% on the same night last year. Its BVOD audience of 98,000 was up 59.6% on the same night last year.
    • In Sydney, 9News recorded a Total TV Audience of 263,000 – 50,000 viewers ahead of its nearest competitor.
    • In Melbourne, 9News recorded a Total TV audience of 293,000 – 63,000 viewers ahead of its nearest competitor
    • In Brisbane, 9News recorded a Total TV audience of 214,000 – 27,000 viewers ahead of its nearest competitor
  • A Current Affair dominated the 7.00pm timeslot with Total People across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.577 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.060 million. It secured a BVOD audience of 76,000 and was up 49.9% on the same night last year. 
  • Tipping Point was the No.1 afternoon game show across Australia with a National Total TV Reach of 1.485 million and a Total TV National Audience of 777,000, lifting the timeslot by 45.8% when compared to the same day last year. It also won its timeslot in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. 
  • Today recorded a National Total TV Reach of 837,000 and a Total TV National Audience of 323,000. It was the No.1 breakfast program with Total People across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Its BVOD audience of 36,000 on 9Now was up 46.0% on the same morning last year
  • The 9Network was No.1 across the 5 City Metro with People 25-54 and People 16-39.

9Now was the No. 1 CFTA BVOD platform across Australia with Total People and all key demographics.

Seven’s big Wednesday: #1 network, 7NEWS #1 show

·       Seven #1 nationally in total TV

·       National total TV audience share: 40.5%

·       7NEWS: #1 program, reaches 2.11million

·       The 1% Club UK: #1 entertainment show in total TV, reaches 1.44 million

Emotions run high as the top five MasterChef Australia contestants open chests revealing treasured photos of their own family food heroes. Drawing inspiration from their cherished loved ones, each cook is fighting for their final shot at immunity in the competition, with epic results.

MasterChef Australia:

  • 1.22 million total national viewers reached.
  • Biggest Wednesday of the year.
  • Up 38% week-on-week, up 83% in 16 to 39s and 64% in 25 to 54s.
  • #1 entertainment show in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s. 
  • #1 in its timeslot.
  • 34.5% commercial share in 16 to 39s, 31.4% in 25 to 54s.
  • Season-to-date: Biggest BVOD audiences ever (142,000), up 29% on 2023 average.

Also, last night:

  • Network 10 was up 20% week-on-week.
  • 10 was up 22% week-on-week.
  • 10 Peach was up 39% week-on-week.
  • Nickelodeon was up 21% week-on-week.

Last week (Wednesday, 26 June), MasterChef Australia reached 1.24 million total national viewers with 7-day viewing and was the #1 entertainment show in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
