Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach lead of 87 000 and an average audience lead of 112 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #7 with 1 368 000 (873 000).

There was a split maket schedule with Sydney, Brisbane and Perth getting The 1% Club UK at #17 with 858 000 (490 000), whilst Melbourne and Adelaide got Dream Home at #26 with 603 000 (240 000).

All markets received The Front Bar at #10 with 1 149 000 (540 000).

Nine

9News was #2 for the night. A Current Affair was #4 with 1 525 000 (1 057 000). 2024 Australian Swimming Trials – Finals – Day 3 was #3 with 1 973 000 (757 000). Ski Rescue Down Under was #12 with 1 011 000 (310 000).

The Project was #15 with 952 000 (371 000). MasterChef Australia was #9 with 1 193 000 000 (670 000). NCIS: Sydney was #18 with 824 000 (359 000).

ABC

ABC News was #8 for the night. 730 was #11 with 1 139 000 (668 000). Hard Quiz was #14 with 956 000 (691 000). Gruen was #13 with 989 000 (725 000). An encore of Austin was #30 with 515 000 (323 000).

  • 9News was the No. 1 program across the 5 City Metro with Total People and all key demos. It was also the No. 1 program with Total People in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The combined national bulletins recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.991 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.234 million (up 10.5% year-on-year). On 9Now, its BVOD audience of 91,000 was up 103.4% year-on-year. 
  • A Current Affair won the 7.00pm timeslot with Total People and all key demos across the 5 City Metro, and with Total People in the three largest markets of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.525 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.057 million – up 7.4% on the same night last year. It secured a BVOD audience of 74,000 – up 144.5% year-on-year. 
  • The 2024 Australian Swimming Trials – Finals dominated its timeslot across the 5 City Metro with Total People and all key demos. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.973 million, a Total TV National Audience of 757,000 and a BVOD audience of 59,000. 
  • Tipping Point was the No. 1 afternoon game show with Total People across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.445 million and a Total TV National Audience of 749,000 lifting 51.6% in its timeslot when compared to the same day last year. 
  • Today was the No. 1 breakfast program with Total People and People 25-54 across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney and Melbourne. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 809,000 and a Total TV National Audience of 322,000 – up 5.1% on the same morning last year. Its BVOD audience was 35,000 – up 55.6% on the same morning last year.
  • The 9Network was the No. 1 network across the 5 City Metro with Total People and all key demos

9Now was the No. 1 CFTA BVOD platform across Australia with People 16-39

Seven reaches 5.64 million, #1 nationally

MasterChef Australia Cooks Up Its Biggest Wednesday Of 2024.

Poh described this iconic MasterChef Australia twin’s challenge as: “Pure. Chaotic. Joy.” Each team utilized an appliance in their 90-minute dessert cook, aiming for identical dishes, despite only being able to shout instructions at each other.

MasterChef Australia:

  • 1.19 million total national viewers reached.
  • Biggest Wednesday of the season!
  • Up 26% week-on-week.
  • #2 in its timeslot in all key demos.
  • Last night’s live stream audience (36,000) was up 28% on the same episode in 2023.
  • Season-to-date: Biggest BVOD audiences ever (145,000), up 32% on 2023 average.

NCIS: Sydney achieved its biggest audience of the season, up 38% week-on-week.

Network 10 was up 25% week-on-week, 10 was up 24%, 10 Bold was up 36%, 10 Peach was up 7% and Nickelodeon is up 52% week-on-week.

Last week (Wednesday, 5 June), MasterChef Australia reached 1.36 million total national viewers with 7-day viewing. #1 entertainment show in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.

MasterChef Australia – Continues tonight at 7.30pm on 10 and 10 Play.
