Seven News was the #1 show for the evening with wins in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth and a tie in Brisbane. Home and Away had 493 000 viewers but usually rises substantially in Total TV. Seven scrapped plans for a second a second ABBA special and instead brought in repeats of Highway Patrol that did not do any better capturing 305 000 viewers fir the first episode and 280 00 for the second. Air Crash Investigations did only 190 000 viewers and The Amazing Race was on 85 000 viewers, hence why it was moved out of its 8:30 slot.
