TOTAL TV
The Block has overtaken the news to be the #1 program overall in the Total TV ratings for last Wednesday. The show recorded a 36% uplift for a total audience of 1, 437 000. A Current Affair rose 6% to land at #8 with 871 000. Nine’s special presentation of Remembering Bali: 20 Years On rose 12% to 426 000.
Home and Away really shows its strength moving from 3rd in the slot in overnights to #1 at 7pm with 929 000 viewers, up 24%/ Kitchen Nightmares was strong at 903 000, up 26%. Extreme Weddings Australia rose 9% for an audience of 286 000.
A repeat of The Dog House Australia grew its audience by 8% to 344 000
ABC always does well on Wednesdays with 730 up 5% to 710 000, Hard Quiz up 16% to 818 000, Question Everything up 12% to 574 000, Summer Love up 32% to 437 000 and Would I Lie to You up 17% to 294 000.

Analysis
Nine News had a win in Sydney and Melbourne last night with a 5 capital city audience of 685 000 viewers. A Current Affair was #2 in its slot, but by only 2000 viewers at 593 000. The Block was #3 overall, but #1 non news at 726 000. The special presentation of Britney & Kevin: Family Feud was watched by 235 000 viewers landing at #19. A repeat of The Rise and Fall of Janet Jackson had 110 000.
Seven News was the #1 program of the night overall with 803 000 viewers. Home and Away had 457 000. Kitchen Nightmares Australia had 362 000, but Seven will be hoping for another strong performance in Total TV. Extreme Weddings Australia had just 125 000. With just 2 episodes remaining, will Seven pull the show from the line-up? Air Crash Investigations actually did well hanging onto almost all its lead in with 123 000 viewers.
The Real Love Boat Australia can say it beat Extreme Weddings Australia, securing 141 000 viewers. The Dog House Australia repeat did 231 000 at 7:30pm. My Life is Murder managed only 70 000 viewers which is a real shame, as its quite a good show.
ABC had 514 000 for 730, 528 000 for Hard Quiz, 381 000 for Question Everything, 272 000 for Summer Love and 188 000 for Would I Lie to You.
