Seven News was #4 for the night with a reach audience loss of 18 000 and an average audience lead of 70 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #8 with 1 328 000 (845 000). The 1% Club UK was #7 with 1 389 000 (802 000). The Front Bar was #12 with 1 068 000 (522 000). Unfiltered was #25 with 559 000 (232 000).

Sunrise – Early – 506 000 (250 000)

The Chase UK – 454 000 (232 000)

Nine

9News was #3 for the night. A Current Affair was #5 with 1 745 000 (1 130 000). The Block was #2 with 2 214 000 (1 246 000). World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025 – Night was #1 with 2 215 000 (519 000).

Tipping Point UK – 580 000 (332 000)

10 News+ was #39 for the night. Deal or No Deal was #33 with 385 000 (242 000). Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly Australia was #26 with 550 000 (216 000). The Gilded Age was #36 with 379 000 (134 000).

ABC

ABC News was #11 for the night. 730 was #10 with 1 208 000 (725 000). Hard Quiz was #16 with 776 000 (582 000). Shaun Micallef’s Eve of Destruction was #21 with 624 000 (358 000). Would I Lie to You was #41 with 349 000 (219 000).

How the Networks Analysed their Own Performance

  • The Block was Australia’s No. 1 program with People 25-54 and 16-39. It was also a dominant timeslot winner with Total People across Australia and in all five metro capitals. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 2.214 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.246 million – up 26.1% year-on-year. It recorded a BVOD Audience of 269,000 – up a huge 81.6% year-on-year.
  • World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025 – Night was Australia’s No. 1 program by reach with Total People. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 2.215 million, a Total TV National Audience of 519,000 and a BVOD Audience of 76,000.
  • 9News was the No. 1 news bulletin with Total People and all key demographics across the 5 City Metro. It was also the No. 1 news bulletin with Total People in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The combined bulletins achieved a National Total TV Reach of 2.074 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.280 million – up 11.7% year-on-year. On 9Now, its BVOD audience of 176,000 was up a huge 91.3% compared to the same night last year.
  • A Current Affair dominated the 7.00pm timeslot across Australia with Total People. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.745 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.130 million – up 13.3% year-on-year. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD Audience of 152,000 – up 83.1% on the same night last year.
  • Tipping Point Australia was the No. 1 afternoon game show across Australia with Total People and all key demos. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.439 million, a Total TV National Audience of 782,000 (up 16.4% year-on-year) and a BVOD audience of 97,000 – up a massive 106.4% year-on-year.
  • Today was the breakfast program of choice with Total People in Melbourne and Brisbane. It recorded a Total TV National Reach of 830,000, a Total TV National Audience of 313,000 and a BVOD audience of 52,000 – up 52.9% on the same morning last year.
  • The 9Network was the No.1 network on Wednesday across the 5 City Metro with Total People and all key demographics.
  • 9Now was the No. 1 CFTA BVOD platform on Wednesday across Australia with People 25-54 and People 16-39.
