Seven News was #2 for the night with a reach lead of 36 000 and an average audience lead of 99 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #6 with 1 330 000 (859 000). The 1% Club UK was #8 with 1 303 000 (778 000). The Front Bar was #12 with 1 150 000 (514 000). Unfiltered was #30 with 526 000 (246 000). Live at the Chapel: Amy Shark was #42 with 377 000 (97 000). A Luke Perry themed episode of Autopsy USA was on 155 000 (54 000).

Nine

9News was #3 for the night. A Current Affair was #4 with 1 744 000 (1 085 000). Married at First Sight – Wednesday was #1 with 2 840 000 (1 766 000). Big Miracles was #5 with 1 651 000 (556 000). 9News Late was #44 with 354 000 (177 000).

Freddy and the Eighth – 305 000 (87 000) (Sydney and Brisbane)

Casualty 24/7 (R) – 162 000 (71 000)

The Equalizer (R) – 126 000 (59 000)

Deal or No Deal was #35 with 446 000 (253 000). The Project was #20 with 687 000 (306 000). The Dog House Australia was #22 with 679 000 (314 000). Elsbeth was #31 with 520 000 (221 000). NCIS: Hawaii was on 283 000 (137 000). 10’s Late News was on 222 000 (112 000).

ABC News was #11 for the night. 730 was #9 with 1 239 000 (784 000). Hard Quiz was #14 with 891 000 (613 000). The Weekly with Charlie Pickering was #15 with 880 000 (535 000). Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont Spelling Bee (NZ) was #21 with 680 000 (247 000). Planet America was #27 with 594 000 (363 000). A repeat of Spicks and Specks was on 306 000 (133 000). ABC Late News was on 264 000 (70 000).

SBS World News was on 310 000 (183 000). SBS World News 7pm was on 264 000 (150 000). Australia: An Unofficial History was #33 with 487 000 (197 000). The Jury: Murder Trial UK was #48 with 334 000 (85 000). Rogue Heroes was #47 with 335 000 (143 000).

  • The 9Network claimed Australia’s top 3 programs on Wednesday night with the key demographics of People 25-54 and People 16-39, as Married at First Sight, A Current Affair and 9News took out the top spots. 
  • Married at First Sight was the No. 1 program of the night with Total People and all key demos across Australia and in all metro capitals. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 2.840 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.766 million – up 9.9% year-on-year.
  • Married at First Sight secured a BVOD audience of 505,000 – up 31.2% on the corresponding episode last year.
  • 9News was the No.1 news service with Total People across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.999 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.189 million – up 11.7% on the same night last year. On 9Now, its BVOD audience of 117,000 was up 51.9% year-on-year.
  • A Current Affair dominated the 7.00pm timeslot with Total People across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.744 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.085 million – up 2.9% year-on-year. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD Audience of 126,000 – up 31.3% on the same night last year.
  • Tipping Point Australia was the No. 1 afternoon game show with Total People across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.328 million, a Total TV National Audience of 703,000 (up 19.8% year-on-year) and a BVOD audience of 61,000 – 69.4% year-on-year.
  • Big Miracles won its timeslot with Total People across Australia and in Sydney and Brisbane. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.651 million, a Total TV National Audience of 556,000 – up 8.2% year-on-year and a BVOD Audience of 100,000 – up 31.6% on the corresponding episode last year.
  • Today was the breakfast program of choice with Total People in Melbourne and Brisbane. It recorded a Total TV National Audience of 299,000 and a BVOD audience of 33,000 – up 3.1% on the same morning last year.
  • The 9Network was the No. 1 network on Wednesday across the 5 City Metro with Total People and all key demos.
  • 9Now was the No. 1 CFTA BVOD platform on Wednesday across Australia recording shares in excess of 55% with Total People and all key demos.
