Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach lead of 70 000 and an average audience lead of 66 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #9 with 1 239 000 (830 000). Dream Home was #7 with 1 321 000 (630 000). The Good Doctor was #21 with 708 000 (321 000). Ambulance: Code Red was #37 with 418 000 (145 000).

Nine

9News was #2 for the night. A Current Affair was #3 with 1 607 000 (1 096 000). Paramedics was #4 with 1 512 000 (617 000). Under Investigation with Liz Hayes was #13 with 997 000 (434 000). The Murder of Lynette White Part 1 was #20 with 726 000 (269 000).

The Project was #14 with 995 000 (368 000). MasterChef Australia was #8 with 1 298 000 (660 000). The Cheap Seats was #11 with 1 170 000 (534 000). A repeat of NCIS was #19 with 737 000 (124 000).

ABC

ABC News was #10 for the night. 730 was #12 with 1 087 000 (632 000). Tony Armstrong’s Extra-Ordinary Things was #15 with 920 000 (419 000). Secret Science was #34 with 460 000 (279 000). The Art Of was #44 with 372 000 (178 000).

  • 9News was the No. 1 program with Total People across 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It was also the No. 1 program with all key demos across the 5 City Metro and Sydney. The combined national bulletins recorded a National Total TV Reach of 2.027 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.260 million (up 11.8% year-on-year). On 9Now, its BVOD audience of 93,000 was up 57.6% year-on-year.
  • A Current Affair won the 7.00pm timeslot with Total People across Australia. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.607 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.096 million – up 9.3% on the same night last year. It secured a BVOD audience of 72,000 – up 35.8% year-on-year.
  • Paramedics won their timeslot at 7.30pm with Total People and all key demos in Sydney and Adelaide. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.512 million and a Total TV National Audience of 617,000. It secured a BVOD audience of 42,000.
  • Under Investigation registered a National Total TV Reach of 997,000 and a Total TV National Audience of 434,000. It secured a BVOD audience of 31,000.
  • Tipping Point was Australia’s No. 1 afternoon game show with Total People. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.396 million and a Total TV National Audience of 731,000 lifting 48.3% when compared to the same day last year.
  • Today was the No.1 breakfast program with Total People across the 5 City and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 787,000 and a Total TV National Audience of 318,000. Its BVOD audience was 35,000 – up 34.6% on the same morning last year.
  • The 9Network was the No.1 network across the 5 City Metro with Total People and GS18+.

9Now was the No. 1 CFTA BVOD platform across Australia with People 16-39.

MasterChef Australia And The Cheap Seats #1 In Their Timeslots.

Last night, Australian Chef of the Year, Hugh Allen, returned to the MasterChef kitchen with a pressure test merging classic French techniques with flavours of the Australian bush. A showdown between Sav, Alex and Pezza to recreate Hugh’s incredible ‘Banksia Pod’ dessert ended with Alex, cartwheeling her way out of the kitchen for the last time.

MasterChef Australia:

  • 1.3 million total national viewers reached.
  • Up 20% in 16 to 39s week-on-week.
  • #1 in its timeslot.
  • #2 entertainment show in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
  • 38,000 live stream viewers, up 32% on the same episode last year.
  • Season-to-date: Biggest BVOD audiences ever (143,000), up 30% on 2023 average.

Melanie Bracewell and Tim McDonald poked fun at the week that was on The Cheap Seats. Joining in on the action were Mel Tracina and special guests Damien Fleming and Alexa Leary.

The Cheap Seats:

  • 1.17 million total national viewers reached.
  • Up 12% week-on-week.
  • #1 in its timeslot.
  • Huge commercial shares with 35.2% in 16 to 39s and 32.4% in 25 to 54s.
  • Biggest live stream audience ever: 19,000 viewers, up 30% on the same episode last year.
  • Season to-date: Achieving itsbiggest total audience average (572,000), up 6% on 2023 average.
  • Season-to-date: Biggest BVOD audiences ever (42,000), up 31% on 2023 average.

Also last night, Network 10 & 10: #2 network and channel in under 50s, 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.

  • MasterChef Australia reached 1.47 million total national viewers and was the #1 entertainment show in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
  • The Cheap Seats reached 1.16 million total national viewers and was the #2 entertainment show in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
