Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach lead of 174 000 and an average audience lead of 178 000 over 9News. Farmer Wants a Wife was #3 with 1 850 000 (986 000). The Marlow Murder Club was #12 with 1 058 000 (533 000). Code Blue: The Killing of June-Fox Roberts was #28 with 555 000 (218 000).

Nine

9News was #2 for the night. Lego Masters was #5 with 1 517 000 (709 000). Clarkson’s Farm was #14 with 1 020 000 (400 000). Opal Hunters: Red Dirt Road Trip was #26 with 568 000 (215 000).

The Project was #16 with 924 000 (357 000). MasterChef Australia was #9 with 1 191 000 (655 000). The Cheap Seats was #13 with 1 046 000 (450 000). NCIS was #29 with 535 000 (178 000).

ABC News was #10 for the night. 730 was #11 with 1 094 000 (671 000). This is Going to be Big was #17 with 882 000 (328 000). Creative Types with Virginia Trioli was #43 with 387 000 (212 000).

  • 9News was the No. 1 news service and program across the 5 City Metro with People 16-39, People 25-54 and Total People. In Sydney, the bulletin recorded 55,000 more viewers than its nearest competitor and in Melbourne, the bulletin was 41,000 viewers ahead of its nearest competitor. Tuesday’s combined bulletins registered a Total TV National Average Audience of 1.245 million and a BVOD Average Audience of 79,000 – up 53.1% year-on-year. 
     
  • LEGO Masters won the battle of the 7.30pm reality programs across Australia with People 25-54. It registered a Total TV National Average Audience of 709,000 and a BVOD audience of 46,000 – an increase of 14.7% when compared to the same episode last year. 
     
  • A Current Affair was the No. 1 program at 7.00pm across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.634 million and a Total TV National Average Audience of 1.075 million – up 11.2% on the same day last year. Its BVOD audience was 64,000 – up 43.8% year on year. 
     
  • Tipping Point dominated the afternoon game show slot across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.417 million and a Total TV National Audience of 693,000.
     
  • Today was the preferred breakfast program with Total People across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney and Melbourne. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 848,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 351,000, representing a 15.5% increase year-on-year. It recorded a BVOD audience of 33,000 – an increase of 31.0% on the same day last year.
     
  • Today Extra was the morning program of choice with Total People in Sydney and Melbourne. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 508,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 213,000.
     

The 9Network was the No.1 network across the 5 City Metro on Tuesday with People 25-54 and People 16-39.

MasterChef Australia Cooks Up 7-Day Success.

Reaches 1.58 Million And #2 Show in 16 to 39s.

Last week, with 7-day viewing, MasterChef Australia (Tuesday, 23 April) reached 1.58 million total national viewers and was the #2 show in 16 to 39s.

It was hot in the kitchen last night as chefs were put under pressure keeping up with Jamie Oliver.  

MasterChef Australia Episode 7:

  • 1.19 million total national viewers reached.
  • Up 7% in 16 to 39s week-on-week.
  • #1 in its timeslot in 16 to 39s with a 31.4% commercial share.
  • Lifted 10’s timeslot 286% year-on-year.
  • 38,000 live stream viewers, up 26% compared to same episode last year.
  • Series: Biggest BVOD audiences ever! 161,000 live stream viewers, up 46% compared with the 2023 series average.

The Cheap Seats launched last night and clocked up its biggest live stream audience ever!

  • Reached 1.05 million total national viewers.
  • #1 in its timeslot in under 50s, 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
  • Live stream viewers were up 18% on the same episode last year.
  • Lifted 10’s timeslot 183% year-on-year.
  • Lifted 10’s timeslot 22% in 25 to 54s and 10% in 16 to 39s week-on-week.

Last night, there were week-on-week lifts right across Network 10 (10, 10 Bold, 10 Peach, Nickelodeon).

  • Network 10 was up 21% in 16 to 39s and up:
    • 17% in 25 to 54s
    • 10% in under 50s.
  • 10 was up 12% in 25 to 54s and 10% in 16 to 39s.
  • 10 Bold was up:
    • 14% overall
    • 10% in its key demo of over 40s.
  • 10 Peach was the #1 multi-channel in its key demo of 16 to 39s and up:
    • 12% overall
    • 114% in 16 to 39s.
  • Nickelodeon was up a whopping 127% and 49% in its key demo of under 40s.
