Seven

Seven News was #1 with wins in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Home and Away was #8 with 386 000. Seven’s Cricket: Big Bash League – Sydney Thunder v Melbourne Renegades was on 130 000. However, due to rain Seven went to stand by programming across Australia and this number will reflect the average audience watching across the same hours as the telecast of what would have been the BBL.

During the day, Seven’s Cricket: First Test – Australia v West Indies dominated with 419 000.

Nine

9News was #2 with a win in Melbourne. 2024 Australian Open Day 4 – Night Pre Match was #11 with 335 000. 2024 Australian Open Day 4 – Night was #3 with 622 000. 2024 Australian Open Day 4 – Night Session 2 was #5 with 492 000. 2024 Australian Open Day 4 – Late was #7 with 415 000.

The Project 6.30pm was on 134 000. The Project 7pm was #21 with 205 000. Gladiators – Wednesday was #17 with 219 000. The new season premiere of FBI: International was on 93 000. A second new episode of FBI: International was on 70 000.

ABC

ABC News was #4 for the night. 730 was #10 with 345 000. A repeat of Hard Quiz S6 was #19 with 215 000. A repeat of Spicks and Specks was #18 with 218 000. A new episode of Changing Ends was on 91 000. An encore of Best Interests was on 34 000.

Spotlight – 9News Melbourne

One of the big battlegrounds for 2024 is the 6pm news bulletin in Melbourne. Nine have called it ‘the dawning of a new era’ with new weeknight presenters Alicia Loxley and Tom Steinfort. This summer, Nine Melbourne have previously had massive wins in this market.
