Seven News was #2 for the night with a reach lead of 229 000 and an average audience lead of 224 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #6 with 1 375 000 (883 000). The 1% Club was #7 with 1 345 000 (779 000). The movie, The Equalizer 2 was #9 with 1 290 000 (331 000).

Seven National News at Noon – 400 000 (209 000)

Nine

9News was #3 for the night. A Current Affair was #5 with 1 694 000 (1 066 000). Married at First Sight was #1 with 2 662 000 (1 484 000). The special, Barbie Uncovered: A Dream House Divided was #4 with 1 773 000 (365 000).

Deal or No Deal was #31 with 509 000 (296 000). The Project was #17 with 786 000 (328 000). I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! was #13 with 1 220 000 (586 000). The Ex Wife was #28 with 550 000 (149 000).

ABC

ABC News was #11 for the night. 730 was #12 with 1 225 000 (733 000). Dr Karl’s How Things Work was #15 with 812 000 (595 000). Eat the Invaders was #23 with 684 000 (457 000). A repeat of Croc Watch with Steve Backshall was #26 with 570 000 (250 000). A repeat of Ningaloo Nyinggulu was #45 with 347 000 (148 000).

SBS

A repeat of Stock Aitken Waterman: Legends of Pop was #37 with 408 000 (84 000).

  • Married at First Sight was Australia’s No. 1 program with Total People and all key demos. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 2.662 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.484 million – up 14.7% year-on-year.
  • Married at First Sight registered a BVOD audience of 315,000 – up 44.3% on the corresponding episode last year.
  • 9News was the No. 1 news bulletin of the night with Total People in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and with key demos People 25-54 and 16-39 in Adelaide and Perth. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.968 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.192 million – up 5.8% on the same night last year. On 9Now, its BVOD audience of 108,000 was up a huge 50.0% year-on-year.

  • A Current Affair won the 7.00pm timeslot with Total People and all key demos across Australia. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.694 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.066 million – up 7.0% year-on-year. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD Audience of 104,000 – up 41.2% on the same night last year. 
  • Tipping Point Australia was the No. 1 afternoon game show with Total People across Australia and in all five metro capitals. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.270 million and a Total TV National Audience of 657,000, lifting the timeslot by 8.8% year-on-year. 
  • Today recorded a National Total TV Audience of 312,000 and a BVOD audience of 37,000 – up 44.1% on the same morning last year. It was the No. 1 breakfast program in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. 
  • Barbie Uncovered: A Dream House Divided registered a Total TV National Audience of 365,000 and a BVOD Audience of 49,000. 
  • The 9 Network was the No. 1 network across the 5 City Metro with Total People and all key demos
  • 9Now was the No. 1 CFTA BVOD platform, recording shares in excess of 53% with Total People and all key demos

7NEWS #1 in news, The Chase #1 game show

·       National total TV audience share, 6am to midnight: 38.1%

·       National total TV audience share, 6pm to midnight: 36.8%

·       7NEWS: #1 news program, reaches 2.22 million

·       Home and Away: #1 drama, reaches 1.38 million

·       The Chase Australia: #1 game show, reaches 1.44 million

·       Sunrise: #1 at breakfast, 26% more viewers than Today
