Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach lead of 241 000 and an average audience lead of 229 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #10 with 1 059 000 (735 000). Home and Away – Late was #7 with 1 103 000 (668 000). Mrs. Brown’s Boys was #17 with 759 000 (436 000). The second episode of Mrs. Brown’s Boys was #23 with 627 000 (373 000).

Nine

9News was #2 for the night. A Current Affair was #4 with 1 362 000 (911 000). RBT was #3 with 1 498 000 (638 000). Emergency was #6 with 1 162 000 (492 000). A repeat of Encore was #16 with 777 000 (321 000).

The Project was #20 with 683 000 (283 000). The Dog House Australia was #15 with 781 000 (396 000). The Dog Hospital with Graeme Hall was #27 with 526 000 (200 000).

ABC

ABC News was #8 for the night. 730 was #11 with 1 057 000 (651 000). Grand Designs Transformations was #12 with 1 010 000 (553 000). Martin Clunes: Islands of America was #25 with 611 000 (332 000).

  • 9News was the No.1 news service with Total People in Sydney and Melbourne, attracting a National Total TV Reach of 1.677 million and a Total TV National Audience of 977,000. In Melbourne, the local 9News audience was up 19.0% on last year.
  • A Current Affair continues its dominance, securing the 7.00pm audience across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. It impressively secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.362 million and a Total TV National Audience of 911,000 (up 8.0% on the corresponding episode last year).
  • RBT achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1,498,000 and recorded a Total TV National Audience of 638,000.
  • Tipping Point’s instant success continues as it becomes once again the No.1 afternoon game show across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.073 million and a Total TV National Audience of 551,000. Yesterday’s national audience lifted the timeslot by a massive 51.2% when compared to the corresponding day last year.
  • Today recorded a National Total TV Reach of 808,000 and was the breakfast program of choice in Sydney and Melbourne.
  • The 9Network was the No.1 network across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with People 25-54, People 16-39, GS 18+ and Total People.

The Dog House Australia Reaches 781,000.

Up in key demos week-on-week.

Last night, the episode 2 of The Dog House Australia featured the Pickari family and their boisterous brood of four kids who just want a dog to play with and add to the beautiful chaos of their family. But there was a deeper reason for granting their childrens’ wish…the family suffered a heart-breaking tragedy when three of their children were involved in a school bus crash. All the children need a support dog, but in particular eldest daughter Awheata who needs a four-legged friend to help her heal from the ordeal. Enter four-month-old bull-Arab pup Boof (pictured).

Last night’s episode reached 781,000 total national viewers (metro + regional + BVOD).

  • Up 54% in 16 to 39s week-on-week, 11% in 25 to 54s and 2% in under 50s.
  • #2 show in the 7.30pm timeslot in the key demos of under 50s, 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.

Then The Dog Hospital with Graeme Hall continued the lifts:

  • Up 75% in 16 to 39s week-on-week and 12% in under 50s
  • #2 show in the timeslot in the key demos.

In primetime, 10 was the #2 commercial channel in 16 to 39s and up 37% in this demo week-on-week.

Network 10 was also up in this demo up 29% in 16 to 39s week-on-week.

Nickelodeon was up 81% week-on-week and 41% in its key demo of under 40s.
