Analysis
Nine was a network winner last night and was 3 points clear of Seven and 5.6 point ahead in primary channel shares.
Nine News kicked off the evening with no wins in any capital city but just 1000 viewers behind in Sydney and Brisbane. A Current Affair won its slot with 570 00 viewers. The Block had a Thursday outing this week (due to NRL on Sunday) and dominated with 670 000. Paramedics had 379 000 which would be considered successful given its Thursday time slot. A+E After Dark had 211 000.
Seven News was was a timeslot winner in all capital cities last night. Home and Away had 428 000 viewers with the 8pm episode claiming 413 000 viewers. Kath and Kim continued on Seven with 190 000 for episode 1, 147 000 for episode 2, 140 000 for episode 3 and 120 000 for episode 4.
In the US, The Love Boat had their own version on CBS which is owned by Paramount and had 2.4 million viewers and a 0.3 in the demo, which will be considered poor by CBS standards considering Survivor which aired just before it had 4.8 million viewers and a 0.7 demo ratings. Here in Australia, The Love Boat had a disappointing 174 000, with 165 000. Gogglebox suffered because of that lead in with 415 000 viewers, but Undressed did somewhat well considering the lead in.
