Seven News was #1 with 1,211 000 viewers, a rise of 3%. Seven News at 6:30 was #2 with 1,142 000, an upswing of 3%. The Chase Australia was #9 with 644 000, a lift of 3%. Seven’s Cricket: Big Bash League – Brisbane Heat v Melbourne Renegades was #10 with 471 000. Due to Seven not having BVOD rights for 7plus, there is no uptick in Total TV. The Chase Australia – 5pm was #11 with 408 000, an increase of 3%. Sunrise was #13 with 383 000, a boost of 4%. Seven News at 4:30 was #21 with 291 000, growth of 2%. Seven News at 4 was #26 with 275 000, strengthening its overnights by 2%. Sunrise – Early was #20 with 237 000, bolstering its audience by 5%.
Nine News was #3 with 880 000, an upsurge of 4%. Nine News 6:30 was #4 with 875 000, an improvement of 4%. A Current Affair was #6 with 757 000, expanding its viewership by 6%. Hot Seat was #12 with 401 000, an enhancement of 4%. 2022 FINA World Short Course Championships was #14 with 353 000, an uplift of 5%. Tipping Point was #15 with 350 000, up 6%. Nine’s Afternoon News was #18 with 310 000, a rise of 3%. Today was #23 with 286 000, an upswing of 7%. Hot Seat – 5pm was #27 with 270 000, a lift of 4%.
The final instalment of Crossfire in the three night mini series event was #16 for 10 with 339 000, an increase of 45%. The Project 7pm was #19 with 307 000, a boost of 4%, Jamie’s One-Pan Christmas was #20 with 294 000, growth of 5%. 10 News First was #24 with 281 000, strengthening its overnights by 3%.
ABC News was #5 but #1 in its slot with 774 000, bolstering its audience by 4%. 730 was #8 with 652 000, an upsurge of 5%. A repeat of You Can’t Ask That was #17 with 336 000, an improvement of 5%. A repeat of Dinosaur Apocalypse with Sir David Attenborough was #25 with 280 000, expanding its audience by 4%.

Analysis
Seven News was #1 with wins in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Seven News at 6:30 was #2 with wins in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Seven’s Cricket: Big Bash League – Sydney Sixers v Hobart Hurricanes was #10 with 279 000.
Nine News was #3 with a win in Brisbane. Nine News 6:30 was #4 with wins in Sydney and Brisbane. A Current Affair was #5 overall but #1 in its slot with 510 000. Great Getaways was #11 with 272 000. A repeat of Paramedics was #12 with 247 000. Police After Dark was on 92 000 but was not screened in Sydney or Brisbane.
The Project 6:30pm was on 164 000 but that figure rose to 224 000 for The Project 7pm. Jamie’s One-Pan Christmas was on 181 000 for #19. The movie, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol was #26 with 151 000 fans.
ABC News was #6 with 506 000. 730 Summer was #8 with 385 000. A repeat of You Can’t Ask That was #20 with 178 000.
