TOTAL TV
Seven News was #1 overall with 1,261 000, up 3%. Seven News at 6:30 was #2 with 1,258 000, also up 3%. Home and Away was #1 non news and #1 in its slot with 858 000, an uplift of 26% as the average of the first two episodes screened last Thursday. Home and Away – Late, the 8pm episode, was up 26% for an audience of 809 000. Kath and Kim repeats continued with the first episode #15 with 418 000, up 8%, the second episode #16 with 391 000, up 8%, episode three #26 with 324 000, up 9% and episode 4 #30 with 287 000, up 10%. The Chase Australia was #9 overall for the night with 715 000, up 3%. The Chase Australia – 5pm was on 444 000, also up 3%. Sunrise was up 5% to 376 000.
Nine News was #3 overall with 899 000, up 4%. Nine News 6:30 was #4 with 894 000, up 4%. A Current Affair was #8 for the evening and had an uplift of 5% and was watched by 762 000 viewers. The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 second semi final match between England and India was watched by 713 000 fans, a rise of 9%. The component of the match that aired on 9Gem was watched by 290 000, up 12%. Hot Seat was on 426 000, which was a rise of 4%. Hot Seat – 5pm was on 299 000, up 5%. Tipping Point was #19 sitting at a super healthy 352 000 and was up 6%. Nine’s Afternoon News was up 3% to 336 000. Today’s final 7 day rating was 304 000, a rise of 7%.
Love Island Australia started with an overnight linear broadcast audience of 27 000 viewers on 9GO but that result rose by 661% to 350 000 to be #21 overall for the night.
10 News First was up 3% to 361 000 viewers. The Project 7pm was on 348 000, up 4%. A repeat of Ambulance Australia had 350 000, up 3%.
ABC News was tops for the national broadcast at #7 with 795 000, a rise of 4%. 730 was #11 with 632 000, up 6%. A repeat of You Can’t Ask That was on 335 000, up 3% and Q+A was up 13% to 328 000.
The Handmaid’s Tale is a super strong performer landing at #12 overall with 517 000, a spectacular rise of 428%.
OVERNIGHT RATINGS

Analysis 
Seven News was #1 for the night with wins in all markets. Seven News at 6:30 was #2 with wins in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Home and Away was #8 for the night but #1 non news based programs with 439 000 viewers. Home and Away – Late (8pm episode) was on 397 000. The Front Bar screened at 8:30pm nationally with an audience of 293 000 to be #14 for the night and appears to be #2 in the slot behind Paramedics. The audience was of course huge in Melbourne with 160 000 viewers. The final of the Kath and Kim repeats aired with episode 1 on 212 000, episode 2 on 117 000, episode 3 on 91 000 and episode 4 on 69 000.
Nine News 6:30 was #3 for the night with a win in Brisbane. Nine News was #4 for the night with no wins in any market. A Current Affair was #6 with 504 000 viewers. RBT sat at #11 with 366 000 viewers. Paramedics was on 337 000 and won its slot. A+E After Dark is a good Thursday performer at 211 000. Nine News Late was on 135 000 and Emergency Call was on 65 000 after 11pm
The Project 6:30 was on 146 000. The Project 7pm half hour was on 214 000. A repeat of Ambulance Australia was watched by 196 000. 10 will be breathing a sigh of relief as the final episode of The Real Love Boat Australia went to air with just 99 000 viewers. An encore of The Cheap Seats followed with 87 000 viewers.
ABC News was #5 for the night and won its slot. 730 was #7 with 442 000 viewers. A repeat of You Can’t Ask That had 297 000 and Q+A had 199 000 viewers after 8:30.
