Seven News was #2 for the night with a reach audience lead of 26 000 and an average audience lead of 33 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #7 with 1 155 000 (802 000). Home and Away – episode 2 was #14 with 873 000 (733 000). Home and Away – episode 3 was #16 with 838 000 (700 000). Clarkson’s Who Wants to Be a Millionaire UK was #15 with 839 000 (344 000). Why Bridges Collapse was #28 with 506 000 (167 000). A repeat of What the Killer Did Next was #80 with 186 000 (82 000). Kick Ons was #174 with 90 000 (46 000).

Sunrise – Early – 552 000 (260 000)

The Chase UK – 378 000 (188 000)

Nine

9News was #3 for the night. A Current Affair was #4 with 1 572 000 (1 024 000). World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025 – Night was #1 with 2 250 000 (677 000). Chicago Med was #47 with 295 000 (108 000).

A repeat of Law & Order: SVU was #48 with 293 000 (111 000). 10’s Late News was #76 with 197 000 (86 000). An encore of The Cheap Seats was #85 with 174 000 (57 000).

ABC News was #8 for the night. 730 was #9 with 1 142 000 (677 000). Back Roads was #18 with 706 000 (465 000). Grand Designs NZ was #22 with 618 000 (341 000). An encore of The Family Next Door was #36 with 368 000 (107 000). ABC Late News was #83 with 181 000 (46 000).

  • World Athletics Championships was Australia’s No. 1 program on Thursday by reach. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 2.250 million, a Total TV National Audience of 677,000 and a BVOD Audience of 87,000.
  • 9News was the No. 1 program across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with all key demographics and Total People. It was also the No.1 program of the night with People 25 to 54 in Adelaide and Perth. The combined national bulletins registered a National Total TV Reach of 2.024 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.268 million – up 16.8% year-on-year. On 9Now, it claimed a BVOD Audience of 166,000 – up a massive 88.6% on the same night last year.
  • A Current Affair dominated the 7.00pm timeslot across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.572 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.024 million – up 16% year-on-year. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD Audience of 127,000 – up a huge 92.4% year-on-year.
  • Tipping Point Australia was the No.1 afternoon game show across Australia and in all five metro capitals. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.387 million and a Total TV National Audience of 752,000, increasing by 18.4% on the same day last year. On 9Now, its BVOD Audience was 94,000 – up an impressive 108.9% year-on-year.
  • Today was the breakfast program of choice with Total People in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 790,000, a Total TV National Audience of 312,000 – up 5.4% on the same morning last year. On 9Now it recorded a BVOD audience of 51,000 –  up 54.5% year-on-year.

7plus #1 in BVOD on Seven’s huge Thursday

  • National total TV audience share, 6.00am to midnight: 39.5%
  • National total TV audience share, 6.00pm to midnight: 37.6%
  • 7plus: #1 in BVOD, up 41.8% year-on-year

 Gogglebox: Some of Australia’s most opinionated and avid TV viewers comment freely on the best and worst television shows they’ve watched over the past week, from the comfort of their living rooms. This week, Goggbloxers watched Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Gen, KPOPPED, and Jay & Pamela.   Last night: Reached 935,000 total national viewers. #1 in its timeslot in 25 to 54s (30.1%) and 16 to 39s (30.2%).   Season to-date: Reaching 5.9 million total national viewers. Biggest ever streaming audience – up 300% year-on-year.   7-Day Total Viewing Audience (Thursday, 11 September): Reached 1.23 million total national viewers. #1 entertainment show in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.   10: Last night, 10’s national total BVOD audience was up 26% on same night last year.
