Analysis for Total TV (4 December, 2022) and Overnight (11 December, 2022) ratings.

TOTAL TV – Total People

SBS was at the top of the Total TV rankings with the 2022 FIFA World Cup match between Argentina and Australia at #1 with 1,679 000, a rise of 33%. 2022 FIFA World Cup: Australia v Argentina Post Match was #4 with 895 000, an upswing of 21%. 2022 FIFA World Cup: Australia v Argentina Pre Match was #28 with 249 000, a lift of 32%.

Seven News – Sunday was #2 with 1,268 000, an increase of 2%. 7NEWS Spotlight was #8 with 627 000, a boost of 3%. Seven’s Cricket: First Test – Australia v West Indies Day 5 Session 2 was on 625 000. Due to Seven not having BVOD rights for 7plus. there was no rise in Total TV. Seven’s Cricket: First Test – Australia v West Indies Day 5 Session 1 was #12 with 484 000. Seven’s Cricket: First Test – Australia v West Indies Day 5 Lunch was #13 with 453 000. Weekend Sunrise – Sunday was #16 with 363 000, growth of 3%. Dog Patrol was #20 with 298 000, strengthening its numbers by 2%. The Supercars Championship – Adelaide 500: Sunday Race was #23 with 273 000, bolstering its audience by 4%. The movie, The Rock was #30 with 242 000, an upsurge of 5%.

Nine News – Sunday was #3 with 954 000, an improvement of 4%. 60 Minutes – Summer was #7 with 674 000, expanding its audience by 10%. Snackmasters – Launch was #10 with 607 000, enhancing its audience by 11%. Nine News Late – Sunday was #15 with 395 000, an uplift of 4%. Nine News: First at Five was #22 with 273 000, up 3%.

The Sunday Project – 7pm was #17 with 347 000, a rise of 5%. 10 News First Sunday was #18 with 319 000, an upswing of 2%. The Graham Norton Show was #19 with 318 000, a lift of 10%. The Sunday Project 6:30pm was #25 with 265 000, an increase of 5%. NCIS: Hawaii was #27 with 253 000, a boost of 17%. 10 News First Sunday 6pm was #29 with 245 000, growth of 3%.

A repeat of Death in Paradise was #5 for the ABC with 763 000, strengthening its overnights by 6%. ABC News was #6 with 688 000, bolstering its audience by 3%. Insiders was #11 with 534 000, an upsurge of 20%. The movie, Judy was #14 with 399 000, an improvement of 14%. A repeat of The ABC Of was #21 with 284 000, expanding its audience by 4%. Offsiders was #24 with 270 000, an enhancement of 8%. Antiques Roadshow was #26 with 265 000, a rise of 5%.

TOTAL TV – 25-54

The 2022 FIFA World Cup: Argentina v Australia was #1 with 842 000, an uplift of 47%. Snackmasters – Launch was #4 with 253 000, up 14%. Seven’s Cricket: First Test – Australia v West Indies was strong for Seven. The Graham Norton Show was #15, proving more popular in the demographic, rather than total people.

OVERNIGHT RATINGS


Analysis

Seven News Sunday was #1 with wins in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth and a tie in Melbourne. Seven’s Cricket: Second Test – Australia v West Indies Day 4 Session 1 was #8 with 371 000. Seven’s Cricket: Second Test – Australia v West Indies Day 4 Session 2 was #11 with 283 000.

Nine News Sunday was #2 with 696 000, with a win in Sydney and a tie in Melbourne. Snackmasters – Sunday was #5 with 412 000. 60 Minutes – Summer was #7 with 372 000.Nine News Late – Sunday was #12 with 260 000. The First 48 had 141 000 viewers.

The Sunday Project 6:30pm had 177 000. The Sunday Project 7pm rose to 257 000. The Graham Norton Show was #15 with 228 000. A preview of the Paramount+ series, Tulsa King had 160 000 viewers. NCIS: Hawaii had 118 000 viewers.

ABC News Sunday was #3. A repeat of Death in Paradise was #4 with 469 000 viewers. The movie, The Post was #10 with 289 000.

2022 FIFA World Cup Quarter Final: England v France was #6 for SBS with 401 000. 2022 FIFA World Cup Quarter Final: England v France Post Match was #9 with 344 000.

  • Snackmasters won its timeslot with People 25-54, People 16-39 and GS+Child across the 5 City Metro, East Coast and in all Australian cities.
  • Snackmasters was the No.1 entertainment program in Brisbane with Total People
  • Snackmasters recorded a Live + VOD BVOD Audience of 23,000 an increase of 17% YoY
  • 60 Minutes – Summer Series won its timeslot with People 25-54, People 16-39 and GS+Child across the 5 City Metro, East Coast and in all Australian cities.
  • 60 Minutes – Summer Series recorded a Live + VOD BVOD Audience of 19,000

9News was the No.1 program of the night on the East Coast and in Sydney with Total People
