Seven News Saturday was the #1 program across Australia with 1,040 000 viewers, which was an increase of 2%. A repeat of Border Security: Australia’s Front Line was on 579 000, a rise of 3% and was #7 for the night. Weekend Sunrise had a bumper morning being #8 for the whole day with 364 000, an uplift of 4% on its overnight numbers. Weekend Sunrise – Late even made it to #12 with 307 000 viewers, up 4%. Weekend Sunrise – Early was on 292 000, was #14 and was up 4%. All three components of Weekend Sunrise beat the main part of Weekend Today. The movie, Aquaman was #11 with 321 000, a rise of 3%. The lead in to Seven News, a repeat of Border Security: Australia’s Front Line was #13 with 295 000 and was up 4%. Seven News at 5 was #23 with 214 000 and was up 2%.
Nine News Saturday had to settle for #3 behind Doc Martin with 817 000 viewers and was up 3%. A Current Affair was #6 for the night and #2 in its slot with 601 000, up 5%. The Nine News lead in Getaway was strong with 362 000 viewers, a rise of 6%. The movie, The Bourne Identity, just edged Seven’s Aquaman with 341 000, up 5%. Weekend Today was #15 with 284 000, up 5%. Weekend Today – Late was #18 with 241 000 and was up 5%. Weekend Today – Early was up 6% to 209 000. The movie, The Bourne Supremacy was #17 with 243 000 viewers and was up 7%. Nine News: First at Five was watched by 219 000 viewers and edged Seven’s news program with 219 000, up 2%.
10 News First Saturday was tops for the network at #16 with 246 000, up 2%. Blue Bloods was watched by 204 000 and was up 28% to land at #25. CSI: Vegas was on 187 000 viewers and was up 31%. 10 has coded Jamie Oliver: Cooking for Less at #29 with 169 000, up 12%, but this special is not airing as yet. This should be Jamie Oliver’s One Pan Wonders.
ABC had a stellar night with Doc Martin #2 across Australia with 964 000 watching the final season unravel, which was up 33%.That had a massive flow on effect to Shetland, placing #4 for the night with 809 000, a rise of 43%. ABC News was #5 but #1 in its slot with 755 000 viewers, which represented a rise of 4%. A repeat of Vera was #19 with 239 000, up 19% and a repeat of Midsomer Murders was #20 with 226 000, a rise of 11%. Weekend Breakfast was #28 with 169 000, up 6% but that is representative of perhaps half its audience, as this OzTam figure does not include the ABC News simulcast.
SBS had its World News at #22 with 215 000, up 6% and SBS World News 7pm at #30 with 165 000, up 6%. Secrets of the Royal Palaces was #26 with 190 000 viewers, up 9%.

Analysis 
What a crazy night of ratings on the very final night of survey for 2022 with SBS the massive winner, ABC in second and Seven pushed to #3 and Nine in the very rare spot of #4 for the night as a network. Even on primary channels, SBS was the big winner, ABC in second and Seven and Nine tied.
SBS had the #1 program overall with Tunisia taking on Australia with 1, 034 000 fans cheering the Aussie win. The 2022 FIFA World Cup post match was #3 with 550 000 fans. The 2022 FIFA World Cup pre match component of Poland and Saudi Arabia was #7 with 256 000 viewers. England v USA was #9 with 228 000.
ABC had a huge night with Doc Martin #5 with 318 000 viewers, which will see a massive uptick in Total TV next week. Shetland was #10 with 224 000. ABC News covered the Victorian Election and was rewarded with massive 7% share for its multi channel and a massive win for Daniel Andrews.
Seven News Saturday was #2 for the night with 621 000 viewers with wins in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. There were split schedules across Australia for other programming.
Nine News Saturday was #4 for the night with 529 000 viewers and a win in Brisbane. Due to the Victorian election, Nine also had split schedules across Australia.
105 000 tuned in for Blue Bloods on 10. Jamie’s One Pan Wonders had 107 000 and CSI: Vegas had 96 000 viewers.
