Seven News was #2 for the night with a reach lead of 282 000 and an average audience lead of 254 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #9 with 1 202 000 (812 000). A repeat of Highway Patrol was #20 with 775 000 (424 000). A second repeat of Highway Patrol was #27 with 633 000 (406 000). The movie, The Equalizer was #12 with 1 125 000 (294 000).

The Chase Australia won its slot against Tipping Point Australia in both reach and average audience.

Nine

9News was #3 for the night. A Current Affair was #4 with 1 871 000 (1 169 000). Married at First Sight (MAFS) was #1 with 2 752 000 (1 731 000). A sneak peek at season 2 of Love Triangle (airing on Stan) was #5 with 1 818 000 (356 000).

The Project was #16 with 890 000 (359 000). I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! was #11 with 1 150 000 (592 000). A repeat of FBI: Most Wanted was #33 with 512 000 (197 000).

ABC

ABC News was #8 for the night. 730 was #10 with 1 199 000 (768 000). Australian Story was #14 with 1 022 000 (649 000). Four Corners was #13 with 1 082 000 (694 000). Media Watch was #17 with 885 000 (686 000). The Rise and Fall of Boris Johnson was #18 with 821 000 (349 000).

  • The finale of this year’s blockbuster season of Married at First Sight recorded a National Total TV Reach of 2.752 million – reaching 1.602 million more viewers than its nearest commercial competitor. 
  • Married at First Sight was an overwhelming timeslot winner across the country and secured a Total TV National Audience of 1.731 million – 1.139 million viewers ahead of its nearest commercial competitor and up 1.8% on last year’s finale. 
  • Married at First Sight was the No. 1 program with Total People and all key demos across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. It was the No. 1 program in Adelaide with People 25-54 and 16-39.
  • Married at First Sight achieved a BVOD audience of 326,000 on 9Now – up 8.7% on last year’s final episode.
  • 9News registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.984 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.196 million – up 3.6% year-on-year. The bulletins were the most watched news service in Australia’s two largest markets of Sydney and Melbourne. The combined bulletins recorded a BVOD audience of 87,000 on 9Now (up 77.6% year-on-year). 
  • Tipping Point won the afternoon game show battle across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney and Brisbane. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.316 million and a Total TV National Audience of 657,000. Yesterday’s national audience lifted the timeslot by 63.4% when compared to the corresponding day last year.
  • A Current Affair was the No.1 program at 7.00pm across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.871 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.169 million (up 18.8% year-on-year). Its BVOD audience was 105,000 – up 138.6% year-on-year.
  • Today achieved a National Total TV Reach of 786,000 and was the No. 1 breakfast program in Melbourne.
  • The 9Network was No.1 across the 5 City Metro with all key demos and Total People 

9Now was Australia’s No. 1 CFTA BVOD service, recording shares in excess of 55% with all key demos and Total People.

Last night, Candice Warner and Brittany Hockley were thrown into The Deep Freeze challenge, bringing home 12 stars.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! (Monday, 8 April).

  • 1.15 million total national viewers reached.
  • #2 in its timeslot.
  • 32,000 live stream viewers, up 10% on the same episode last year.

Last week, with 7-day viewing, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! (Monday, 1 April) reached 1.54 million total national viewers and was the #2 entertainment show in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
