TOTAL TV
Seven News was #1 with 1,511 000, a rise of 3%. Seven News at 6:30 was #2 with 1,454 000, an upswing of 3%. Home and Away was #9 with its 90 minute finale, reaching 913 000 fans, a lift of 28%. The Chase Australia was #11 with 842 000, an increase of 3%. 911 is proving to be a popular US import at #14 with 607 000, a healthy boost of 39%. The Chase Australia – 5pm was #15 with 515 000, growth of 3%. Sunrise was #18, but #1 at breakfast with 374 000, strengthening its overnights by 4%. Seven News at 4:30 was #22 with 348 000, bolstering its audience by 2%. S.W.A.T was #27 with 310 000, an upsurge of 21%. Seven News at 4 was #29 with 299 000, an improvement of 2%.
Nine News 6:30 was #3 with 1,016 000, expanding its audience by 4%. Nine News was #4 with 980 000 viewers, enhancing its performance by 5%. A Current Affair was #8 with 914 000, an uplift of 6%. My Mum Your Dad – Grand Final was #12 with 712 000, up 34% and giving it a good chance of a second season. Hot Seat was #16 with 470 000, a rise of 4%. A repeat of Tipping Point was #19 with 365 000, an upswing of 6%. Love Island Australia was #20 with 360 000, lifting its audience by a massive 847% as viewers flocked to 9Now to watch the series. Nine’s Afternoon News was #26 with 316 000, increasing its audience by 3%. Today was #28 with 301 000, boosting its audience by 8%. Hot Seat – 5pm was #30 with 292 000 viewers, growth of 5% on its overnights.
The Project 7pm was #17 with 378 000, strengthening its audience by 5%. 10 News First was #25 with 335 000, bolstering its audience by 2%.
ABC News was #5 with 958 00, an upsurge of 3%. Australian Story was strong at #6 and was #1 non news with 952 000, an improvement of 13%. 730 was #7 with 927 000, expanding its audience by 6%. Media Watch was #10 with 903 000 viewers, enhancing its audience 18%. A repeat of The Australian Dream was #24 with 341 000, an uplift of 4%.
SBS continued with the 2022 FIFA World Cup with the Cameroon and Serbia match at #13 with 659 000, up 37%. The match between Spain and Germany was #21 with 352 000, a rise of 56%. The post match coverage of the Cameroon and Serbia match was #23 with 345 000, an upswing of 32%.

Analysis
Seven News was #1 with 831 000 viewers and had wins in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Seven News at 6:30 was #2 with 807 000 with wins in the same markets. A repeat of Border Security: Australia’s Front Line was #10 with 424 000 viewers. All new Motorway Patrol came into the line-up with 352 000, at #13. Highway Cops aired at 8pm, #14 with 301 000. The mid season final of 911 had 200 000 viewers. Seven had to air a double episode of S.W.A.T to get through the season, before the Big Bash starts with 105 000 for the 9:30pm episode and 89 000 for episode 2. Heartbreak Island Australia is heading towards its final with 25 000 viewers uplate. The whole season is available on 7plus.
Nine News 6:30 was #3 with 733 000 and had wins in Sydney and Brisbane. Nine News was #4 with 670 000 viewers and also had wins in Sydney and Brisbane. A Current Affair was #5 but #1 in its slot with 594 000. Snackmasters continued on Nine with 367 000 viewers and landed at #11. Inside the Superbrands looked at ‘Heinz’ with 208 000 watching at #19. Suburban Gangsters had 115 000 viewers, however the program did not air in Perth as that market received a repeat of Australian Crime Stories. Nine News Late had 102 000. The Equalizer had 57 000 for its repeat.
The Project 6:30pm had 172 000. The Project 7pm rose to 271 000. A repeat of Bondi Rescue had 183 000 viewers, but that audience dropped to 176 000 at 8pm. FBI: Most Wanted certainly improved the slot for 10 (over The Challenge Australia) with 161 000 viewers, which will most likely rise by 20%+ or more. FBI: Most Wanted had a second new episode at 9:30pm with 132 000.
ABC News was #6, but was #2 in the slot behind ACA. 730 was #7 with 501 000. Australian Story ‘Summer Series’ also known as a repeat was on 362 000 at #12. Media Watch was the jewel in the crown at #9 but the #1 show for the night non news in primetime. A League of Her Own was on 130 000.
SBS had the England and Senegal match at #20 with 206 000 viewers.
