TOTAL TV – Total People
Seven News was #1 with 1,352 000, a rise of 3%. Seven News at 6:30 was #2 with 1,322 000, an upswing of 3%. A repeat of Border Security: Australia’s Front Line was #9 with 701 000, a lift of 4%. The Chase Australia was back in the line-up at #10 with 699 000, an increase of 3%. Motorway Patrol was #11 with 596 000, a boost of 4%. Highway Cops was #14 with 522 000, growth of 4%. The US drama, 911 was #15 with 519 000, strengthening its overnights by a big 44%. The Chase Australia – 5pm was #17 with 429 000, bolstering its audience by 3%. Sunrise was #20 overall but #1 at breakfast with 374 000, an upsurge of 4%. Seven News at 4:30 was #27 with 305 000, an improvement of 2%. Seven News at 4 was #29 with 267 000, expanding its audience by 2%.
Nine News 6:30 was #3 with 1,044 000, an enhancement of 4%. Nine News was #4 with 965 000, an uplift of 5%. A Current Affair was #5 overall but #1 in its slot with 912 000, up 5%. Snackmasters – Monday was #13 with 581 000, up 10%. Hot Seat was #16 with 464 000, a rise of 4%. Love Island Australia was #21 with 363 000, an upswing of a whopping 725%. A repeat of Tipping Point was #22 with 354 000, a lift of 5%. Nine’s Afternoon News was #23 with 338 000, an increase of 3%. Inside the Superbrands was compatible with its lead in but could only manage #24 with 332 000, a boost of just 7%. Hot Seat – 5pm was #26 with 307 000, growth of 4%. Today was #28 with 288 000, strengthening its overnights by 7%.
The Project 7pm was best for 10 at #19 with 381 000, bolstering its audience by 4%. 10 News First was #25 with 325 000, an upsurge of 2%. A repeat of Bondi Rescue was #30 with 264 000, an improvement of 6%.
ABC took three consecutive positions for a consistent audience with ABC News at #6 with 870 000, expanding its audience by 3%. 730 was #7 with 836 000, an enhancement of 5%. Media Watch was #8 overall, but #1 non news in primetime with 720 000, an uplift of 18%. A repeat of Australian Story: Summer Series was #12 with 590 000, up 6%.
2022 FIFA World Cup: England v Senegal was #18 for SBS with 398 000, a rise of 61%.
TOTAL TV – 25-54
Snackmasters was a big winner in this demographic, sitting at #4 for the night with 244 000, an upswing of 16% and beating Nine News. The 2022 FIFA World Cup match between England and Senegal was #7 with 221 000, a lift of 86%. Love Island shot up the charts to #10 with with 203 000, an increase of 783%. 911 on Seven was #9 with 208 000, a boost of 54%.
OVERNIGHT RATINGS
Analysis
Seven News at 6:30 was #1 with wins in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Seven News was #2 with wins in the same markets. A repeat of Border Security: Australia’s Front Line was #8 with 456 000. Motorway Patrol was #14 with 338 000, followed by Highway Cops at #15 with 277 000 viewers. The movie, Pacific Rim had 108 000 and really cost Seven the win. Heartbreak Island Australia aired its 3rd last episode of the season, but with the episodes already on 7plus, there was just 25 000 viewers up late.
Nine News was #3 with wins in Sydney and Brisbane. Nine News 6:30 was #4 with wins also in Sydney and Brisbane. A Current was #5, but #1 in its slot with 582 000. Snackmasters was #13 with 346 000. Inside the Superbrands struggled with 187 000 viewers. A repeat of Australian Crime Stories had 139 000. Nine News Late had 105 000. A late repeat of The Equalizer had 49 000 viewers.
The Project 6:30pm started with 182 000, but then The Project 7pm rose to 254 000. A repeat of Bondi Rescue was on 194 000, then a second repeat had 179 000. FBI: Most Wanted was on 163 000 with a second new episode on 136 000.
ABC News was #6 overall, but #2 in its slot behind ACA. 730 was next at #7 with 498 000. Media Watch aired its season final to 418 000 to land at #10. The special, Harley and Katya was #19 with 251 000.

With ABC doing well with the final season of Do Martin, Seven is running on its coattails with the repeats doing extremely well at #1 with 130 000. Inspector Morse is also performing strongly. 9Gem aired another Bond film, For Your Eyes Only and was rewarded with the 3rd most watched multi channel program. Death in Paradise also did well.
