TOTAL TV
Seven News was again #1 with 1,168 000 viewers, which was a rise of 2% on its overnight numbers. Seven News at 6:30 was #2 with 1,111 000, also an upswing of 2%. The Chase Australia was #6 with 733 000 viewers, an upsurge of 2%. Better Homes and Gardens was #11 with 581 000 viewers, an increase of 6% and fell behind Gardening Australia/ The Chase Australia -5pm was #14 with 455 000, a boost of 2%. Sunrise was #18 overall, but #1 at breakfast with 369 000, growth of 5%. The movie, The Green Book was #25 with 285 000, strengthening its numbers by 8%. Seven News at 4:30 was #26 with 285 000 and was up 3%, whilst Seven News at 4 was #29 with 276 000, a lift of 2%.
Nine News 6:30 was #3 with 845 000 viewers, an improvement of 3%. Nine News was #4 with 841 000, expanding by 4% on its overnight numbers. A Current Affair was #5 overall, but #1 in its slot with 743 000, enhancing its numbers by 5%. Taronga: Who’s Who in the Zoo was #13 with 465 000, uplifting 11%. Hot Seat (5:30pm in Syd, Mel, Bris – 4:30pm in Adel and 3:30pm in Per) placed #15 with 408 000, bolstering its overnight numbers by 4%. A repeat of Tipping Point was #19 with 368 000, a rise of 8%. Nine’s Afternoon News (4pm in Syd, Mel, Bris – 5pm in Adel, Per) was #22 with 309 000, an upswing of 3%. Today was #23 with 287 000 viewers, an upsurge of 7%. Hot Seat – 5pm (5pm in Syd, Mel, Bris – 4pm in Adel and 3pm in Per) was #28 with 278 000, an increase of 3%.
The hiatus bound, final episode of The Living Room was #21 for the night, boosting its audience by 8%. 10 News First was #27 with 283 000, showing growth of 2%. The Project 7pm was #30 with 275 000 viewers, strengthening its audience by 4%.
ABC News was #7 for the night and best for the national broadcaster with 730 000 viewers, up 4%. Gardening Australia was #9 with 657 000, lifting 17%. All Creatures Great and Small was #10 with 631 000, a big improvement of 59% on its overnight audience. Frankly was #12 with 501 000, expanding its audience by 9%. An encore of Fisk was #16 with 405 000, enhancing its audience by a whopping 129%.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup  match between Wales and Iran on SBS was watched by 705 000, placed #8 and uplifted its audience by 39%. The post match for the same game was #17 with 391 000 fans, bolstering its overnights by 34%. The match between Brazil and Serbia was #20 with 365 000 viewers and saw a rise of 55%. The pre match between Qatar and Senegal was #24 with 287 000, an upswing of 37%.

Analysis 
Seven News returned to the #1 position, but could only manage a win in the Perth market, where it had a 69 000 viewer lead. Seven News at 6:30 was #4 with a win again in Perth. The highest session in Seven’s Cricket: First Test – Australia v West Indies Day 3 was #8 with 408 000 fans. The movie, The Fugitive had 223 000 viewers with an 8pm start in Brisbane, a 8:30pm start in Adelaide and Perth and a 9pm start in Sydney and Melbourne.
Nine News 6:30 was #2 but had wins in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. Nine News was #3 with wins in the same markets. A Current Affair was #6 overall, #2 in its slot with 484 000 viewers, but beat ABC News in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide. Taronga: Who’s Who in the Zoo was #11 with 307 000 viewers and beat Gardening Australia in Sydney and Brisbane. The movie, Bridget Jones’ Baby had 168 000 viewers.
The Project 6:30pm had 157 000 viewers, but that figure headed north with the The Project 7pm on 201 000. The Graham Norton Show was fast tracked from the UK with 203 000 viewers. 10 showed a preview of the new Paramount+ series, The Flatshare to 89 000 viewers. A repeat of Just for Laughs Australia was watched by 54 000 and a repeat of Just for Laughs Uncut had 47 000.
ABC News was #5 with 495 000 and won its slot with a big win in the Melbourne market. Gardening Australia was #9 for its summer special with 405 000. A repeat of Vera was #7 but was #1 for the night non news with 462 000 viewers. An encore of Fisk aired at 10pm with a healthy 162 000 fans.
At breakfast, Sunrise and Today had a tie, but with rounding out figures Sunrise came out on top. When counting national figures Sunrise had 370 000 viewers and Today had 316 000.
