The 2023 Australian Open Day 5 – Night Session 2 powered to #4 with 197 000 fans, a rise of 13%. The Graham Norton Show proved its popularity in this demographic, placing #12 with 106 000 viewers, an uplift of 12%.

Seven News was #1 with wins in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Seven News at 6:30 was #2 with a win in Adelaide. Nine News 6:30 did not air in Brisbane and Perth so comparisons for those markets would not be apples for apples. Seven’s Cricket: Big Bash League – The Eliminator was #10 with 294 000 viewers.

Nine

Nine News was #3 with wins in Sydney and Melbourne. Nine News 6:30 was not screened in Brisbane and Perth, so the overall result pushed the half hour to #6. The 2023 Australian Open Day 12 – Night was #4 with 543 000 fans. Other results included:

#5 2023 Australian Open Day 12 – Night Session 2 – 531 000

#9 2023 Australian Open Day 12 – Night Pre Match – 296 000

#13 2023 Australian Open Day 12 – Day – 242 000

2023 Australian Open Day 12 – Late – 137 000

The Project 6:30pm had an audience of 121 000. The Project 7pm was #19 with 186 000 viewers. The Graham Norton Show was #21 with 167 000. A repeat episode of The Graham Norton Show followed with 99 000. 10 aired the repeat special, Jimeoin: Ramble On to 67 000 viewers.

ABC

ABC News was #7 for the night. Monty Don’s Adriatic Gardens is warming the slot for the return of Gardening Australia and placed #11 with 285 000. A repeat of Endeavour was #14 with 238 000 viewers.

Winner: 7two (4.2%)

Second: 7mate (3.6%)

7two shot to the top with four markets airing Better Homes and Gardens Summer on the multi channel, whilst the Big Bash League Eliminator aired on the main channel. Despite the multi channel airing the gardening favourite in four markets (Perth was main channel) the show was still #1 with 102 000 viewers. Two repeat episodes of Escape to the Country also helped placing #3 and #7. 7mate was second with the Big Bash League airing in full for the Perth Perth market.
