Love Nature Greenlights Two New Captivating Wildlife and Nature Programs – Love Nature, a wildlife and nature brand with linear and streaming channels available internationally, announced today two new original programmes.

The titles exemplify Love Nature’s diverse range of content from blue-chip specials to daring wildlife rescues. The slate includes: HumanLike: The Chimps of Fongoli (1 x 60’), a thrilling look at how a group of chimpanzees have adapted to survive in an extreme environment and Aussie Snake Wranglers: Deadly Pursuit Season 1 (6 x 30’), an adrenaline-fuelled series that follows a group of professional snake catchers on the Sunshine Coast of Australia.

“Love Nature viewers enjoy a wide range of natural history series. Over the last decade, we have built a portfolio of wildlife series that appeals to our global audience. These two new titles add to our channel’s diversity of offerings”

– says Alison Barrat, SVP, Head of Content, Love Nature.

“Each of these new titles explores the connection between human and animal species. They both tap into a different aspect of our global fascination with wild species.”

The newly greenlit titles will premiere on Love Nature worldwide. They will roll out on Sky Nature in the UK, Italy, and Germany in addition to premieres across co-commissioning territories. Blue Ant Studios oversees licensing opportunities for new titles outside of commissioning territories. The new titles include:

HumanLike: The Chimps of Fongoli (1 x 60)

Producer: PASSION PLANET

Co-production partner: The WNET Group

This one-hour special follows a group of elusive chimpanzees living at the very edge of what’s possible, shedding new light on our closest living relatives and our own origins. The Fongoli region of Senegal, on the Southern edge of the Sahara Desert, is the hottest, driest place in the world that chimps can live. The chimps really shouldn’t be here. So how do they survive?  The film traces the remarkable 25-year story of how American Primatologist Jill Preutz and local chimp expert Dondo “Johnny” Kante got so close to the chimps that they uncovered a wealth of unique behaviors that might just reveal secrets about our own evolutionary past.

Aussie Snake Wranglers: Deadly Pursuit Season 1

Producer: Breakout Productions with the support of the South Australian Film Corporation

This fast-paced reality series follows the busiest snake-catching team in Australia as they go head-to-head with some of the deadliest snakes on the planet. Set against the backdrop of Queensland’s picturesque Sunshine Coast, a team of skilled snake wranglers catches and relocates some of the most venomous snakes in the world including coastal taipans, red bellies, eastern browns and death adders.

Led by venomous snake guru Stuart McKenzie, the team answers multiple distress calls a day from everyday Aussies whose homes have been invaded by snakes that can disappear in the blink of an eye, leaving families distraught and fearing for their lives.

Love Nature, headquartered in Washington D.C. with offices in Los Angeles, London and Toronto is a premium global natural history brand that delivers high-quality, captivating stories about wildlife and nature on all its platforms. Love Nature is a destination for award-winning natural history series and documentaries. It is available on top-tier pay-TV platforms and streamers in countries around the world.
