Love Nature channel on Fetch TV – Blue Ant Media’s premium linear subscription channel, Love Nature, launches across Australia on Fetch, offering original series, like Chasing the Rains, above, which premieres in the country on April 1.

Blue Ant Media announces that Love Nature, a wildlife and nature brand with linear and streaming channels available in over 130 countries, has launched in Australia as a premium, linear subscription channel on the Fetch aggregation platform.

The launch signals Love Nature’s debut to audiences on a linear subscription channel across the country. The deal was brokered by media industry advisor Jon Penn of Sydney based Future of Media Advisory.

“Australia is a major market that brings Love Nature an engaged fanbase, hungry for wildlife and nature stories they are truly passionate about. Our new partnership with Fetch TV has solidified this opportunity and we can’t wait to show their viewers what Love Nature has to offer,” says Carlyn Staudt, General Manager, Love Nature.

Sam Hall, Chief Content and Commercial Officer, Fetch TV added, “Love Nature will bring the Fetch audience closer to the animal kingdom in its natural habitat. We are delighted to partner with Love Nature to bring this high quality, engaging entertainment to Australian homes.”

Subscribers to the Fetch Knowledge and Ultimate Channel Packs will be able to tune-in to Love Nature’s week-long Love Earth programming event beginning on April 17, which is stacked with special programming celebrating the beauty and wonder of Earth in honor of Earth Day.

The event will showcase the premiere of Chasing the Rains, on April 22, Earth Day. The four part original series, narrated by Adjoa Andoh (Bridgerton, Invictus) is filmed beyond the jagged peaks of Mount Kenya, during one of Africa’s worst droughts in twenty years. The series follows a unique cast of animal characters, including a heroic cheetah mother defending her precious cubs against attacks from rival predators; a rare wild dog pack battling a vicious hyena clan in a quest for food and water; and a Samburu elephant herd using intelligence and resilience to locate water in the face of a landscape turning to dust.

Additional Love Nature programming highlights include:

Uptown Otters

(6 x 60), a six-part series that examines the urban wildlife story of three otter families in Singapore. The project follows this resilient species, which were once declared locally extinct from Singapore in the 1970s and now have made the ultimate comeback with 120 otters now vying for survival in the city’s Marina Bay.

While they have learned to climb stairs and cross streets, these otters must also maneuver around Singapore’s predatory wildlife including crocodiles and cobras.

These charming animals navigate through it all with exuberance and fun.

Planet Shark

(3 x 60’) reveals new scientific discoveries and incredible footage of one of the most mysterious and ancient predators on the planet—sharks. Using the latest tracking and high-speed camera technologies, this blue-chip series captures 28 species of sharks across six countries, including Norway, United States, South Africa and Australia. Audiences follow an underwater expedition with the world’s leading shark scientists, who offer new perspectives into how these animals have managed to outlive and outperform every other predator on earth since Prehistoric times.

New Kids in the Wild

Season 2, (5 x 60’) a five-part returning series that gives audiences look into the first crucial months of the lives of baby animals as they experience their first steps and encounters with the world around them. The specially shot footage focuses on animals across distinct ecosystems in South America, including giant river otters, coati pups, South American sea lions, jaguars and muriquis. Audiences will be captivated by how the wild babies thrive in their unique environments, with endearing stories that showcase their character traits, personalities, quirks and desires.

Osprey: Sea Raptor

(1 × 60’), a blue-chip documentary narrated by Emmy® and BAFTA® Award-winning actor, Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings, Time, Game of Thrones) that shares the true story of a pair of magnificent raptors as they reunite year-after-year to raise their young.

Filmed in an often-overlooked American wetland, Osprey: Sea Raptor spotlights this unique and ubiquitous aquatic raptor species known for its impressive nests, life-long partnerships, dynamic social interactions and masterful hunting prowess.

Becoming Orangutan

(3 x 60′) a charming series that gives audiences an intimate look inside the world’s largest orangutan rehabilitation centre in Borneo, where orphaned primates are nurtured by specially trained caregivers from the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOSF). Becoming Orangutan offers insights and never-before-seen footage of the young apesturned- TV-superstars as they learn the ropes, make friends and navigate the emotional journey from nursery to graduation.
