After Bark joins Tilda Cobham-Hervey’s feature film directorial debut – After Bark (Flying Bark’s live action label) is excited to announce that it will collaborate with Mad Ones Films and Minor Realm on It’s All Going Very Well… the first project to be officially released under the After Bark banner since the division’s launch in 2022.

Written, directed and led by acclaimed South Australian actress Tilda Cobham-Hervey (I Am Woman, Young Woman and The Sea), the feature stars Oscar-nominated actor Jonathan Pryce (The Two Popes, Brazil, The Wife), Roxie Mohebbi (Head South) and Chris Alosio (Talk to Me, First Goal Wins).

Marking Cobham-Hervey’s debut as a feature director, the project follows the international success of her short film, A Field Guide to Being a 12-Year-Old Girl, which won the Crystal Bear for Best Short Film at Berlinale Generation KPlus in 2018.

It’s All Going Very Well… is the story of 30-year-old Audrey, who while still waiting to be seen as an artist, works in a care home where she’s built a strong bond with a charming pensioner named Harold. As he nears the end of his life, Audrey realises that preserving the memory of their friendship could become her most meaningful artistic act yet.

The film is produced by Liam Heyen of Mad Ones Films (Jimpa) and Dev Patel of Minor Realm (Monkey Man), alongside Cobham-Hervey, Jomon Thomas (Monkey Man) and Alexander Rodnyansky (Leviathan). Coco Garner Davis of After Bark joins the producing team as Co-Producer and Flying Bark CEO Barbara Stephen is an Executive Producer alongside Mad Ones’s Cyna Strachan.

On working with After Bark, Heyen stated:
“We’re thrilled to have found such supportive and clever partners in After Bark. From the outset Babs, Coco, Amy and the full After Bark team have been creatively aligned with Tilda’s distinct vision for It’s All Going Very Well… and they’ve brought their special brand of magic to it too, for which I am very grateful!”
Flying Bark CEO Barbara Stephen stated:

“This is a milestone moment for our new label and testament to the team’s passion, vision and dedication to championing unique creator-led stories. It’s All Going Very Well… is the first of many projects launching across the After Bark slate of scripted and unscripted projects.”

After Bark Producer Coco Garner Davis added:

“After Bark was created to broaden Flying Bark’s creative reach and support local stories, and Tilda’s feature debut is exactly the kind of bold, artist-driven project we hoped to champion. It’s an exciting first step for us and we’re delighted to partner with Tilda, Liam, Dev and the whole team of extraordinary storytellers.”

New Europe Film Sales will represent the project at this year’s European Film Market in Berlin.

PRODUCTION CREDIT

Financed with support from Screen NSW with the Adelaide Film Festival Investment Fund. Local distribution by Kismet Movies. International sales by New Europe Film Sales.
