Weekly Ratings Australia – Nine takes total people network and primary channel. Nine wins 16-39 and 25-54, both in network and primary shares.

ABC did beat 10 in total people network and total people primary shares, however, it should be noted that ABC have a massive advantage in older age brackets. In 16-39, 10 smashed ABC (16.8% to just 8.8%) and in 25-54 (18.6% to 9.4%) with network shares.

The main points to summarise this week from a Nine perspective are: 

  • The Ashes and State of Origin Game 2 have driven the 9Network and Channel 9 to a comprehensive win this week with all key demos and Total People.
  • Across the network shares (prime time), 9Network was No. 1 with the following shares:
    • People 25-54: 49%
    • People 16-39: 52.2%
    • Grocery Shopper + Child: 52.4%
    • Total People: 46%
  • Across the primary channel shares (prime time), Channel 9 was No. 1 with the following shares:
    • People 25-54: 29.1%
    • People 16-39: 33.4%
    • Grocery Shopper + Child: 32.5%
    • Total People: 28.3%
  • State of Origin Game 2 on Wednesday was the second highest rating program of the year with a massive Total TV audience of 3.182 million
  • State of Origin Game 2 broke records on BVOD, achieving the highest ever Live BVOD Audience of all time with 563,000 (up 43% year-on-year and up 5% on Game 1 2023).
  • Women’s State of Origin Game 2 on Thursday was the #1 live streamed program of the day and won the timeslot across the 5 City and East Coast and in Sydney and Brisbane with all key demographics and Total People
  • The Ashes: First Test Session 1 was the #1 program on Monday, recording a Live BVOD Audience of 161,000 and won its time slot across the 5 City Metro and East Coast and in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide with Total People and all key demos (METRO: 618k / REGIONAL: 257k / BVOD: 161k)
  • The Ashes First Test Session 2 was the #1 program on Tuesday, recording a Live BVOD Audience of 105,000 and won its time slot across the 5 City Metro and East Coast and in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide with Total People and all key demos  (METRO: 287k / REGIONAL: 129k / BVOD: 105k)
  • Warnie airs tonight Sunday, June 25 at 7.00pm and continues Monday, June 26 at 7.30pm.
