In the men’s singles, Aussie Alex de Minaur (world No.13) is up against the current top five of Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev, Casper Ruud and Holger Rune plus Greek hero Stefanos Tsitsipas.
The women’s singles title is wide open in a field featuring world No.1 Iga Świątek, Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka, Wimbledon winner Marketa Vondrousova and top 10-ranked American big names Coco Gauff and Jess Pegula. Australia’s Alja Tomljanovic will join the mix to boost herself up the rankings after injury.
A strong Australian contingent will join de Minaur and Tomljanovic in the main draw when Thanasi Kokkinakis, Jordan Thompson, Jason Kubler, Daria Saville, Max Purcell, Alexei Popyrin, Chris O’Connell and Aleksander Vukic line up along with wildcards Storm Hunter and Rinky Hijikata.
