This October, Disney+ will host its third annual “Hallowstream” celebration with tricks and treats for all ages. Subscribers can be spooked with Halloween-themed episodes and films in the Halloween collection now available on Disney+.
The Halloween collection features brand-boo releases including the return of the iconic Sanderson sisters in “Hocus Pocus 2” and Marvel Studios’ first-ever special presentation “Werewolf by Night.” Families can also pick up their mics to new Sing-Along releases of fan-favourite films including “The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along, “Into the Woods Sing-Along.”
Offering tricks and treats for all ages, the Halloween collection also boasts Halloween traditions like “Hocus Pocus”, “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror”, eerie episodes from “Modern Family,” “WandaVision”, “Glee” and further frights like “Halloweentown”, “Muppets Haunted Mansion,” and “Zombies 3”.
For those brave enough, dare to watch some blood-chilling movies and episodes with Hallowstream After Dark, including heart-thumping new horrors, “Matriarch” and “Grimcutty,” as well as classic frightful faves like “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “The Hills Have Eyes” and “28 Days Later“.
A Disney+ Original movie, the live-action comedy “Hocus Pocus 2” is a haunting sequel to the Halloween classic which brings back the delightfully wicked Sanderson sisters for more comedic mayhem. Exclusive to Disney+, “Hocus Pocus 2” stars Bette Midler (“The First Wives Club,” “Beaches”), Sarah Jessica Parker (“Sex and the City,” “Divorce”), and Kathy Najimy (“Sister Act,” “Younger”), and is directed by Anne Fletcher (“Dumplin,’” “The Proposal”).
It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Now it is up to three high-school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve. “Hocus Pocus 2” also stars Sam Richardson (“The Tomorrow War”), Doug Jones (“The Shape of Water”), Hannah Waddingham (“Ted Lasso”), Whitney Peak (“Gossip Girl”), Belissa Escobedo (“American Horror Stories”), Lilia Buckingham (“Dirt”), Froy Gutierrez (“Teen Wolf”), and Tony Hale (“Veep”). The film is produced by Lynn Harris (“King Richard,” “The Shallows”), with Ralph Winter (“Hocus Pocus,” “X-Men” franchise), David Kirschner (“Hocus Pocus,” “Chucky”), and Adam Shankman (“Disenchanted,” “Hairspray”) serving as executive producers.
