Spicks and Specks on ABC – Spicks and Specks is back! There’s a whole new g-g-g- generation of musicians to celebrate, and fresh comedians to bring the good times.

Host Adam Hills will bring alive the sounds of music trivia on Australia’s most popular music quiz show. And see that girl Myf Warhurst steal the scene, opposite Alan Brough who will take your breath away with his music knowledge.

Joining our team captains are Anthony Callea, Montaigne, Abbie Chatfield, Tommy Little, Hamish Blake, Gillian Cosgriff, Courtney Act, Shane Jacobson, Jenny Tian, Elly-May Barnes, Big Wett, Dan Sultan, Mark Seymour, Steph Tisdell, Ella Hooper, Claire Hooper – More, more, more, you cry out! Well, you will be struck like thunder by our music acts – TISM, Ruby Gill, Folk Bitch Trio, The Bamboos, Lime Cordiale, Gut Health and the DMAs. That’s a lot of bands to have on this run.

The show will have the usual games without frontiers – Know Your Product, Final Countdown and Substitute along with some new sensations.

In Secret Song Adam will drop references to a particular song each episode, leaving Alan or Myf looking for clues. It’s worth 5 points, one of them may take it all. But in the end, everyone will be a winner.

“I’m so excited to get back behind the desk for a new series of Spicks and Specks. We’ve given the place a bit of a reno, and we can’t wait to invite ‘round a whole new batch of Australia’s best musicians as well as a few old friends.”

– Adam Hills

The first episode back for this series is a firecracker. It’s a real list of big names – Anthony Callea, Steph Tisdell, Tommy Little and Yve Blake. There will be questions about Aussie Belters, Musicals Fan Art, a traditional Guzheng ensemble plus the secret song performed by the Burnt Sausages. What will that song be? Tune in to find out.
