Our Guy in Colombia on SBS Viceland – Guy Martin loves exploring a country at street-level to find out what makes it tick. This time he’s visiting
Colombia, finding out if one of the most beautiful and bio-diverse countries in the world can finally
escape its long history of drugs and violence.
Episode One:
Guy discovers that risk is something Colombians have learnt to live with every day when he undergoes
the same brutal kidnapping training that politicians are put through.
This shocking experience is followed by a visit to a uniquely Colombian business: a factory making designer bullet-proof clothing.
Episode Two:
Avoiding guidebooks and tourist attractions, Guy sticks to the streets to discover how the country really
works.
He first joins up with a “gravity racing” gang in Medellin, to try his hand at this semi-illegal cycling sport where the idea is to descend the steepest mountain roads as quickly as possible.
