The 29th Annual Critics Choice Awards on Stan – Stan today announced it will be the exclusive home of the 29th annual Critics Choice Award, broadcasting live and on demand from January 15, same day as the U.S., only on Stan.
The Critics Choice Awards is an annual gala that honours the finest in cinematic and television achievement and is historically the most accurate predictor of Academy® Award nominations.
This year, the 29th annual Critics Choice Awards will be hosted by Chelsea Handler, a comedian, television host, and six-time The New York Times best-selling author. A celebrated voice in entertainment and pop culture, Handler has led a strong seven-year run as the host of the top-rated talk show, Chelsea Lately.
The Stan Original Series Poker Face, starring Natasha Lyonne, celebrates two nominations, including Best Comedy Series and Best Actress In A Comedy Series.
Three Australians will also be vying for top honours during the broadcast, including Margot Robbie for Best Actress in a film, Sarah Snook for Best Actress in a Drama Series and Elizabeth Debicki for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
Emmy® award-winning actor, director and producer America Ferrera will receive the 8th annual SeeHer Award, an accolade that honours a woman advocating for gender equality, portraying characters with authenticity, defying stereotypes and pushing boundaries.
Legendary actor Harrison Ford will receive the Career Achievement Award, having starred in many of the most successful and acclaimed films in cinema history, including the landmark Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises.
The 29th annual Critics Choice Awards show is executive-produced by Bob Bain Productions and Berlin Entertainment.
The 29th annual Critics Choice Awards will be live and on demand from 10am AEDT January 15 with red carpet arrivals, followed by the award ceremony from 11am AEDT, only on Stan.
