Bondi Rescue 2023 on 10 – 10 will fill the void left by The Living Room, by investing in new Australian content for Friday nights at 7:30pm
10 will launch the 17th season of Bondi Rescue 2023, the popular and long running series on Friday 14 April, 2023.
Friday nights have long been a struggle for the network, up against big sport events in the AFL on Seven and NRL on Nine. 10 also has to compete with decades long favourites, Better Homes and Gardens and Gardening Australia.
10 has had a positive start to 2023 with Australian Survivor performing strongly and second in the demographic, behind only MAFS and easily topping Australian Idol on Seven. The network is in a strong position for Q2 with I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and the return of favourites, Have You Been Paying Attention, The Cheap Seats and MasterChef Australia: Secrets and Surprises.
Can Bondi Rescue add to that success by reinvigorating the Friday night line-up?
Although some media outlets are quick to point to 10’s weekly share falling behind the ABC, they do neglect to mention the massive difference between the national broadcaster and 10 in demographics including 16-39 and 25-54 where differences are in the vicinity of 10% each week. Bondi Rescue is likely to build on 10’s success in under 50’s.

After two years of closed borders and wet summers, Bondi is back it’s busy best as international and interstate visitors return to join locals on the world’s most famous beach.
