The 10 Upfronts were a slick and funny presentation including some hidden gems such as Waleed Aly and Peter Helliar discussing whether to go right or left.
The official announcement of Taskmaster to be hosted by Tom Gleeson was a standout, as was the surprise return of Bondi Rescue.
In terms of programming allocation, there was also some surprises in store with The Challenge Australia debuting late November for a December run (assumed it was 2023), The Bachelor taking the I’m A Celebrity slot for January 2nd and then I’m a Celebrity coming in around Easter. With sport predominately watched by men across 7 and 9, could The Bachelor grab the women as an alternative over summer?
There were noticeable absences in the content line-up including The Masked Singer Australia and The Amazing Race Australia – the latter which has struggled this year.
A short run for MasterChef: Dessert Masters is on the cards as Nine does with the short run Snackmasters.
Seven will retain the rights to the UK version of Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly, whilst 10 airs an Australian version.
