Sunrise makes pilgrimage to Currumbin Beach for ANZAC Day – Natalie Barr and David Koch return to host a moving Dawn service, set against the stunning backdrop of the Currumbin coastline in Queensland.
Australia’s most-watched breakfast TV show Sunrise will honour our nation’s proud tradition of military service and sacrifice with a special event broadcast for ANZAC Day, to air from 4.50am tomorrow on Channel 7 and 7plus.
Natalie Barr and David Koch return to host a moving Dawn service, set against the stunning backdrop of the Currumbin coastline in Queensland, and will be joined by veterans and their families at the Vikings Surf Lifesaving Club.
The early telecast will be followed by a special edition of Sunrise, with reporters live around the country and on the ground in Gallipoli and the Western Front.
From the spine-tingling raising of the flag at first light, to the goosebumps-inducing blast of The Last Post and Reveille, join the team to pay respect to those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
Iconic singer John Williamson will tap into that true blue spirit, performing live across the morning.
David Koch said: ‘It’s a very special morning on the Sunrise calendar every year. Come and join us on Currumbin Beach, next to Elephant Rock.”
