SPA Congratulates David Anderson – Screen Producers Australia (SPA) congratulated the ABC’s managing director, David Anderson, on almost six years of ABC leadership and many more working closely with SPA and SPA’s members.
David was appointed managing director in May 2019 and has enjoyed a thirty-year career at the ABC across varying roles, including head of television. During his time with the broadcaster, he collaborated extensively with Australia’s independent screen sector.
“Firstly, SPA would like to thank David for his tenure at the ABC, and his leadership of the broadcaster through a period of rapidly changing audience habits and the transition to digital services. His commitment to working closely with our members over many years to deliver great local content has played a huge role in shaping the broadcaster as well as being critical to the stability and sustainability of Australia’s creative industries,”
