A small North-Norwegian village is stunned when Dr. Meyer, a pensioned local doctor, is found shot dead by the salmon fishing river.
The local police officers Filippa and Kaare take the case, but the former head of police, Irja, now on sick leave, insists on being involved.
What is she looking for? And who is the girl who roams through the woods in the outskirts of the village?
