With only one week to go until the start of the world’s biggest sporting event, the 2022 FIFA World Cup™, SBS has today unveiled their new daily show World Cup Daily, a nightly ‘one-stop-shop’ delivering Australians the very latest from the tournament at 5:30pm AEDT on SBS and SBS on Demand commencing next Tuesday 22 November.

Every action-packed episode of World Cup Daily will include up-to-date highlights, previews, expert analysis, exclusive interviews, and superstar guests, plus all the latest news, views, and on-the-ground reactions from each and every FIFA World Cup™ match.

World Cup Daily will be hosted by presenter and social creator, Claudio ‘Claudes’ Fabiano, who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise alongside his genuine love and passion for football.  Claudio has worked with several leading domestic and international broadcasters including Optus Sport (The Highlights, The Football Bite, Euro 2020 Warm-up Live, Fan-Bants), Premier League Productions (Premier League Today Live, Welcome to the Weekend Live) and beIN Sports (The Early Kick-Off, beIN Global Exclusives.

Claudio will be joined each night by guests including former Socceroos, current A-Leagues stars, and various football personalities, as they dissect all the action from Qatar and reactions here on home soil.

Alongside Claudio will be Adamo De Nigris joining from Doha with all the latest headlines, Kat Sasso who will bring all the trending stories from social media, Kat Haddad taking audiences down memory lane in a FIFA World Cup™ Rewind segment, Dan Olaniran (OlanTekkers) going behind the scenes to local fan parties & Warick Beynon (Wazzeh) visiting the Socceroos camp to hear from our superstars. These ’fresh faces of football’ are all under the age of 30, delivering football stories from a brand-new lens, and making’World Cup Daily’ a must watch for all Aussies.

World Cup Daily is produced by leading sports content production house, I Want it Yesterday.

Joey Ferrone, Creative Director, I Want It Yesterday said, “I Want It Yesterday is extremely excited to be producing the World Cup Daily show for SBS and SBS on Demand. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply a new lens to daily news both on and off the field, whilst introducing new local and diverse storytellers to Australian football audiences. Like many Australians, I grew up watching the likes of Les Murray and Johnny Warren on SBS. We look forward to bringing a new chapter of fun, authentic, and engaging content during the World’s biggest sporting event.”

The FIFA World Cup 2022™ kicks off on November 21 running until December 19, live and free on SBS and SBS On Demand. World Cup Daily commences November 22.
