Postcards on Channel 9 – Join the Postcards team this week as they continue exploring Victoria’s best eateries and getaway spots, Sunday at 5.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Music presenter, author and podcaster Bridget Hustwaite gives us a tour of Gertrude Street in Fitzroy (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). She starts with breakfast and coffee from Archie’s All Day before shopping at Cottage Industry. For lunch she stops by Rocco’s Bologna Discoteca for an Italian feast.
Shane Delia meets up with Melburnian of the Year, Kon Karapanagiotidis, to check out his favourite spots in the CBD (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). They coffee-up at Journey’s Cafe in Southbank and head to Readings Bookstore at the State Library, to chat about their shared passion for cookbooks. To celebrate Kon’s Greek heritage they end up enjoying some classic Greek dishes at Kafeneion.
Meanwhile, Brodie Harper enjoys a getaway by the Murray River (Yorta Yorta Country). We find her in Cobram on Thompsons Beach, before going to The Beach Cafe for a bite.
She then takes a ten-minute drive west to explore Strathmerton and Cactus Country before settling into the RACV Cobram Resort. The trip finishes with a delicious pub meal at The Cobram Hotel.
And Madeline Spark is checking out some favourite hospitality spots in North Melbourne (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). At Rosso Coffee Experience she learns how to make the perfect cup of coffee in their masterclass, then it’s French baguettes with a Korean twist from Baguette Studios. Lastly, she heads to cafe and wine bar Lumen People to meet husband and wife owners Emma Sheahan and Marichi Clarke.
