Postcards on Channel 9 – Join the Postcards team this week as they revisit some of their favourite dining venues, Sunday at 5.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Lauren Phillips is in Kew (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). She checks out the revamped Studley Park Boathouse before going to the Clifton Hotel where she finds Guy Grossi’s Italian restaurant, Puttanesca Osteria.
Shane Delia susses out the evolving food scene in Healesville (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). After a stop at the Costa Rican coffee specialist, Montesanto Coffee Roasters, he heads to the newly refurbished Healesville Hotel, then winds up at The Laneway for some uber fresh South and North American street food.
Madeline Spark is in Brunswick East  (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country), which was recently voted the sixth coolest neighbourhood in the world.
To start her day, she grabs a coffee from Core Roasters on Barkly Street. Heading up the road to East Brunswick Village, she checks out the brand new and very cool FoMo Cinemas which offer tasty in-cinema dining. Later, Maddie stops by Maggie’s Snacks and Liquor for a post-movie cocktail.
Meanwhile, Todd Woodbridge is in the CBD uncovering some of the city’s best venues hidden in plain sight (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). First stop is Caretakers Cottage, the unassuming public bar behind the Wesley Place church that has been recognised as one of the best in the world. Next, Todd doffs his hat to the retail hideaway below Flinders Street station, City Hatters, before finishing the day at Reine and La Rue, a new restaurant and cocktail bar inside the heritage-listed Melbourne Stock Exchange
