Apple TV+ highlights for the month of November include Causeway, Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me, The Mosquito Coast and Slumberkins.
Causeway
New Apple Original Film
Starring and produced by Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence (“Don’t Look Up,” “Silver Linings Playbook,” “American Hustle”), and directed by Lila Neugebauer (Broadway’s “The Waverly Gallery,” “Maid,” “The Last Thing He Told Me”), “Causeway” is an intimate portrait of a soldier struggling to adjust to her life after returning home to New Orleans. Emmy and Tony Award nominee Brian Tyree Henry (“Atlanta,” “Bullet Train,” “If Beale Street Could Talk”) co-stars alongside Lawrence.
Filmed in New Orleans, the new Apple Original Film from A24 is written by Ottessa Moshfegh, Luke Goebel and Elizabeth Sanders. Lawrence produces alongside Justine Ciarrocchi for Excellent Cadaver. In addition to directing, Neugebauer serves as executive producer. “Causeway” is produced by IAC Films, IPR.VC, Excellent Cadaver and A24.
“Causeway” is a Toronto International Film Festival selection.

Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me

This uniquely raw and intimate documentary spans her six-year journey into a new light.
“Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me” will make its global debut Friday, 4 November on Apple TV+.
The Mosquito Coast
season two
Based on Paul Theroux’s best-selling novel and starring Justin Theroux, Melissa George, Logan Polish, and Gabriel Bateman, “The Mosquito Coast” follows the dangerous journey of Allie Fox, a brilliant inventor and stubborn idealist, who uproots his family on a dangerous quest to find refuge from the U.S. government, cartels, and hitmen. In season two, after barely escaping Mexico with their lives, the Foxes venture deep into the Guatemalan jungle to meet up with an old friend and her community of refugees. This new refuge creates trouble for the Foxes though when they become entangled in a conflict between the scions of a local drug lord. At odds about whether to settle down or keep moving, Allie and Margot pursue different paths to secure their family’s future. The outcome of which will either unite the family or tear it apart forever.
The second season of “The Mosquito Coast” is executive produced by Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer, Stefan Schwartz, Evan Katz, Rupert Wyatt, author Paul Theroux, and series star Justin Theroux. Alan Gasmer, Peter Jaysen and Bob Bookman serve as executive producers for Veritas Entertainment Group. The series is created for television and executive produced by Neil Cross. Slumberkins
new series for kids & families
Embark on adventures with Bigfoot, Unicorn, Sloth, Yak and Fox as they explore a world of feelings in this Jim Henson Company mixed media puppet / 2D animation series that empowers the emotional wellness of children through supportive storytelling. Based on the leading children’s emotional learning brand Slumberkins – and featuring the voice talents of Pamela Adlon, Jason Ritter, Yvette Nicole Brown and more – the series brings to life some of the beloved characters from the Slumberkins books as they explore new stories of friendship, confidence and connection to model healthy relationships. “Slumberkins” was created for television by Alex Rockwell (“Word Party,” “Pajanimals”). The Jim Henson Company’s Halle Stanford is executive producer along with Rockwell. Callie Christensen, MIT in Elementary Education and Special Education and Kelly Oriard, M.S. in Counselling and Marriage Therapy & School Counselling, creators of the Slumberkins education brand, are co-executive producers.
