Nolly on ABC and ABC iview S1E1 – For nearly two decades, the iconic Noele Gordon is the star of ITV’s flagship drama, Crossroads, as motel owner Meg Mortimer. Then in 1981, at the height of the show’s success and peak of Nolly’s fame, she is axed without ceremony, warning or explanation.
As the boss’ words “all good things must come to an end” ring in her ears, Noele faces tough questions about who she is and what she will do without her show.
After trying to control the narrative around her exit, Nolly finds herself at the centre of a media storm, with everyone demanding to know the answer to a single, vital question: why was she sacked? And yet she’s never been told.
Friends in the cast rally round, and Nolly must face a final confrontation with producer, Jack Barton. If she must leave the show, does Meg have to die? Can Nolly save her alter ego’s life, or is it too late?
