Nine’s Australian Open Broadcast Schedule – Day 11

The women’s singles and men’s doubles semi finals featuring Aussie underdog duo of Rinky Hijikata and Jason Kubler will headline Day 11 of the 2023 Australian Open on Channel 9HD and 9Now from 11.00am.

The last four standing in the women’s singles draw, after one of the most openly contested women’s Grand Slams in recent history, will play back-to-back in the night session from 7.30pm tonight.

First up is defending Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina up against the resurgent Victoria Azarenka

Rybakina has the chance to match Ash Barty’s achievement from last year and win the Australian Open as the reigning Wimbledon champion. While Azarenka, a mother and eight-time Grand Slam champion, makes her return to the Australian Open semi finals for the first time since her back to back wins in 2012 and 2013.

In the second semi final, Poland’s Magda Linette, who makes her first Grand Slam semi final as an unseeded 30 year old, faces the tough task of handling Arnya Sabalenka, who is yet to drop a set in the tournament. The winner will earn a spot in their first Grand Slam final.

In the day session from 11.00am, the feel good story of Aussies Rinky Hijikata and Jason Kubler continues in the men’s doubles semi finals, after they defeated the no.1 seed yesterday in the quarter finals. They’re now only one win away from an unlikely appearance in a Grand Slam final.

On Channel 9HD, the coverage is hosted by James Bracey, Roz Kelly and Tony Jones. In commentary is Jim Courier, Todd Woodbridge, Lleyton Hewitt, Jelena Dokic, Dylan Alcott, Casey Dellacqua, Sam Smith, Alicia Molik, Mark Philippoussis, Darren Cahill and Peter Psaltis.

Additional off-court reporting will come from Alicia Loxley, Matthew Pavlich, Clint Stanaway, Danika Mason and Madeline Slattery.

9Now has every match, every court available on device of your choosing, in full HD, with the new start-over button allowing fans to watch from the start of each session.
